Given the rumours of poor WFTSC sales, do people think that Warners will invest in the alleged standard 2006 LP release, or do people think something else (horrible-see poll choices) will be foisted on us in a Factory aping style of chaos???????

I have faith that it will be a standard 2006 or 2007 LP release. But we'll see what happens!
which is to say, by this time the hype over the 'Control' film will be substantial and there'll be downloads galore. Every format that can be catered for will be! However, following the siren's call, the sailors have been told to stuff their ears with wax, so expect a shortage of 180gram vinyl.
i would hope they would wait a while. we waited 8 years for Get Ready, 4 years for WFTSC, I could wait a couple if not more for another new record. but they might want to ride the wave from all the attention the band is getting these days. would be smart anyways. but as a longtime fan, i could just as soon enjoy the old stuff, re-discover tracks, listen to the newer stuff than to hear a brand new record released in order to fulfill contracual duties relayed by the record company.
London/Warners will want to release a 'conventional' album in late spring of 2006 before the interest has completely died down - they want to recoup their losses - after 'Legend' status and induction into the 'Hall Of Fame' there aren't many tabloid/NME headlines to grab and that means reduced publicity.
They'll release at least three singles from the album in various formats so that we all buy the lot and the record company make as much money from us as they can.
That's the way the majors work. No regard for the artists.
At least Anthony H, although a grade 'A' twat, had a sort of quasi-integrity.
The best thing that could happen for both New Order's bank balance and us would be that they release what they want, when they want on their own label. I think that they're philanthropic enough to give new bands a chance on their label too. If they do that, good luck to them - they're all capable of 'producing' for new bands on their own label and making money that way, no matter how old they are.
I'd just love it if the last New Order album (when it comes) is a wonderful reflective look at everything they've done in their career, a nod to the fans who've stuck by them and a great bug two fingers to those who've just tried to make money out of them.
It would be poetic justice if that was the biggest selling New Order album ever...
if i can buy it and listen to it i don't really care. i would like something physical though.
by the end of next year they can release another singles compilation also, something else to look forward to...

I just hope that if it is 2006, that they do the promotion properly this time...
Advertise teasers 2 months before release on billboards / flyers and in the press! Swamp the radio stations with press releases and promos! Quote 'God like genius' / 'UK Hall of fame' / and hopefully 'Outstanding Brit contribution award' on all ads! Release the 1st single 2-4 weeks before the album! Do some TV and mag interviews a couple of weeks before the single release!
Then maybe... this could be NO's biggest selling Album...?
Doubt the comprehensive pre-release promotion will happen, which is a shame as they deserve the financial rewards of another platinum seller... The mainstream seems to think that they split up after 'Regret'...

You maybe right about Warners being in control; has to be true to some degree... but as NO are shadowy giants of music i'm also sure that NO have a BIG say in how they do things.
Re; 'left overs'... just a bit of humour; not meant to be harsh. I would buy anything new that NO release, left over or otherwise!
