Will they change it at the Apollo?

Now we know the Brixton setlist, will they change it around at the Apollo? I guess not, they've got a formula which works for them and they stick to it. Shame the QEH tracks weren't 'integrated' more in the set, and just lumped on the encore like an afterthought.

I'm gonna go for 'Yes' just cos I think Atmosphere will make an appearance. Not much of a change I guess, but a definite change.

EGG!

(please)

yeah, reckon there will be at leastone change, but not many more. We were promised a surprise - think it was Turn?

I'll go for EGG instead of Love Vigilantes. My odds are very long..........................................

As I posted elsewhere - even longer odds on my 3 song encore - AOC, EGG and Sunrise. Still one can dream and at least I have heard the latter live once

I shouted for AGE OF CONSENT between every song.....so I am hoping it's sunk in! :D

I agree with Al though, same set maybe with Atmosphere and maybe played in a different order.....hope I'm wrong.

Wise words, they do that, and I'll kiss Sarge :)

I think it will change a bit, but not significantly. As Al says, the encore may be different. Wouldn't bet against Atmosphere appearing, and maybe they will realise that Shadowplay isn't working. Don't mind if they want to save Blue Monday till the end. Would love to have EGG back though, and maybe something else not heard for a while? Even if it is Fine Time!

Only thing I could see is Atmosphere instead of She's Lost Control...

But maybe they found the encore didn't work too well and will only change the order.

Personally, I would have put Ceremony as the last song, as the biggest surprise of the night ;)

I would prefer no encore like the old day's , leave us wanting MORE

Shadowplay isnt working because it is being butchered by Phil's Brain May-esque guitar histrionics.

Lets have EGG instead of Blue Monday. Apart from a few disco dollies and foot shufflers the crowd at Brixton almost stood still for BM. I did manage a little shuffle just for self gratification... reckless dancing for the whole set:D :thumb:

Extremely unlikely, but I was thinking maybe 'Procession' could get an airing. Seeing how with 'Singles' it's got a proper pacement in the New Order catalogue, they might want to bring it back...less known than EGG, but so what? If they've done Warsaw, any change is possible, though it will always be incremental, i.e. no total overhauls of the set list.

Has any one done a poll of the top five songs that could most likely get re-integrated into the live set? I know there have been several 'what would you most want to hear' type polls...

My picks:

  1. In A Lonely Place
  2. Run
  3. Age of Consent
  4. Thieves Like Us
  5. Leave Me Alone

The first two are based on the fact that they've had a couple of airings since '98, if I remember correctly. The last three...well, it's anyone's guess. Hooky said something about 'Thieves' several months back, didn't he?

Procession isnt very likely, considering Bernard denies ever hearing the song before.

I think Perfect Kiss would absolutely walk it if we chalked this one up as a poll. From other polls we've done on here for perfect setlists and favourite album tracks or whatever you can bet a few of these would be in the running too: Thieves, Sunrise, Age of Consent, Dreams Never End.

Sorry, but that's bollocks. Phil is doing 2nd guitar on it. Bernard has all the lead parts. It's not working because it is too slow, Steve is just giving it a plodding beat like he did with Digital three years ago, and the bass is too boomy and resonant with this Eccleshall, it doesn't have the malevolence of the shit bass/shit amp that characterised the original live performances of the song.

one thing that has to be said....

they will never, ever, ever play The Perfect Kiss again!!

....ever!

Bernard denies having heard 'Procession'? Well...it arguably ranks as their third best song after 'Ceremony' and 'Temptation', until PCL was released. I know it's damn unlikely, but it would require less work than say 'The Perfect Kiss'.

Well, that's what he said when interviewed for the track selection for Retro.

Probably we could get EGG (instead of Krafty or one of the 3-JD encore).

Also, some day they are gonna dust it off, 1,2,3,4 - HURT!!! - just hope it's tomorrow:bow:

But, that Brixton setlist looked bloody good, & anything like that will do for me, thanks

TPK is what I am hoping for; Hurt would be an extremely pleasant surprise, as well. I think if they bring back a new one tomorrow it will be either TLU or AOC. But I definitely think the setlist will vary at least slightly from the Brixton gig. I doubt the encore will stay the same, for instance, and I think that Atmosphere will indeed return.
