well...

Just got the "Here To Stay" New oorder&Chemical Brothers-collaboration from audiogalaxy and to my big surprise it was the same track that was circulating there some time before the release of Get Ready under a different name...

It certainly sounds like it's Hooky's bass flowing all through the song, and I'm quite sure it's Barney shouting vocals on the choruses. Since i've never really listened to chemical brothers, I can't say if it's one of them rapping the verses or how much they have influenced the sound.

The song sounds quite "muddy", so it could be some kind of raw-mix version, and since I heard it for the first time in the august I'm almost sure this isn't the final version.

But still, I love this song and loved it the first time I heard it! It flows very nicely forward, there are some incredible basslines, bitter lyrics and nice spacy sounds in the background. Could be a hit, too.

(and yes, I'm the first one in the line when it finally officially comes out)

Welcome to the board, Mr. Phantasio. While I'm certainly hoping that I'm wrong about this, I think you may have a copy of a song that isn't New Order. There's a previous thread discussing this. A couple things point to this. One, that you've heard the song. I remember downloading some song masquerading as a GetReady song and the most recent Here to Stay download was this same song. Two, the Bros don't sing (as far as I know) so the singing should be Barney primarily. Third, if I remember correctly the original collaboration was to be the Bros producing or mixing a NO track, so Here to Stay should sound mostly like NO. I don't remember all the details so everybody jump in. Does anybody have any top secret info on HTS?

If you actually have the track, more power to you! But check out the other thread.

Cheers,

Iain

can't wait to hear HTS. Phantasio, your bio is interesting. the only artist from Finland I know is Jori Holkkonnen. Nice melodic deep house/downtempo. From your list of favorite artists, i'd say you would Hate Jori Hulkkonnen!

I´ve downloaded this MP3 file and I think it´s fake too. There is no way for this track to be a real New Order song because the lack of New Order trademarks: good melody, Barney´s voice and guitar, Hooky´s basslines, energetic drumming...

There are a lot of fake songs in the Internet. I remember when “Exciter” from Depeche Mode was not released yet and some fake tracks emerged. One of them was just fart sounds.

I read somewhere that the B-side to this NO/Chem track is some leftover NO songs from GR sessions like 'Player In the League'....
