Yes, Gillian was sat with them in the audience and went up with them to get the award.
Good old Bernard gave her a mention also!
aye gillian was there,we got a wave and a "hiya" from her. as the band had accepted the award they walked towards the stage to perform and gillian started walking with them,at this point i thought shite shes gonna play n all. but dermot grabbed her arm and led her in the other direction bah. she looked good though.
she looked lovely and gets more attractive with age! it's only right she should have been on stage accepting the award with the guys, so good to see her there.

She's 44! Hardly late 40's.
Wow, I'm feeling a lot of love in this thread. I must admit seeing the New Order Mark 1 line up on stage again sends a shiver up & down my spine. Leaving the band must have been good for her health! Wonder how she passes the time now. She can't just be polishing Steve's tanks all day.
Twas a brilliant touch with Gillian going up.
Did anyone notice that Tony Wilson never got a thank you and he was sat in the audience? I thought I heard Steve mention Tony as he was walking away from the stage.
Bless him!
My thoughts on it:
Gillian did indeed look fantastic and it was nice to see her up there
I thought Barney jumped to the mic a bit quick - it would be nice to see someone else take the lead!
Hookey was a bit sloshed and looks a little like a tramp these days
You know sometimes when you look at someone and their face says "I'm a nice guy, you can come and talk to me" - that's Steve.
Regret - good effort, thought the drums sounded wicked

Yeah, he did, but for some reason they cut it from the final edit....

I thought that Barney had said something like "and we had better thank Tony Wilson as well", as they were leaving the acceptance stage.
Noticed that there were a few bits from other introductions and speaches cut from the TV broadcast. Can't think why they would have cut that one line though. He may be a twat, but he does deserve some credit.
As for Gillian, it was great that we gave her a huge cheer and she got to give an embarrassed wave and "thank you" ![]()

Great to see Gillian up on stage with the band once again :)
I kicked off the Gillian cheer from our side of the 'sheep pen' ![]()
Thought musically they were on the money. It was very tight and I was surprised how good it came accross on the telly. Was really hoping to see Gillian take the stage with them though.

i thought Barney sounded a little ropey/nervous/flat. Could be the fact that he was kept up till 5am at the hotel.![]()
Did anyone record it? Many people like me are probably very curious to watch this. Thank you!

Yeah great to she her on the stage with the rest of the band but it would have been do much better if she had gone on and actually played, but I have to agree she does get better with age.
Finally got around to watching this tonight...
Ahhh, good to see Gillian again. She looked wonderful.
To think, I spent most of the 80's copying her haircuts... ![]()

I recorded it on VHS cassette and am about to watch the footage so drop me a line if you're interested in a copy (VHS PAL format only obviously).
Pity Gillian didn't play for old time's sake. Just to gaze upon her lovely countenance once more as she concentrates on the riffs...
It's been seeded at Dimeadozen so if you know your bit torrents, go get it. It also has "Ever Fallen In Love" where Hooky plays.
And yup, Gillian looked swell. ![]()
She looked great. She looks better than the others. She should have played.
I like how Barney brought up his glass of wine. I also like what Hooky said, "Fuck me I'm famous."
Hi there - the DimeaDozen site looks fully loaded (no account space available). Any chance of posting the torrent files elsewhere - or emailing them?
Thx D

They did mention Tony Wilson, I met him on Friday and he was a bit miffed about the edit. He was hosting a business conference for colleges, and I went up to him at the end of the say (with 5 other people!) for an autograph. Very chatty bloke, seemed quite nice. Seems at the end of Factory he owed the band £100,000 for Joy Division and £200,000 for Electronic. They owed him £650,000 for the Revenge albums, and £400,000 for The Other Two.
Conference was shit though.
I seem to remember at one point Barney was miffed that Electronic weren't getting any royalties, because Wilson was saying that the profits offset the loss on Revenge.
