Get Ready Demos and Session mixes

I Picked this lot up on bt recently labelled as Get Ready demos and session mixes and wondered if its rare stuff. tracklist: Sabotage Crystal (monitor mix-steve osborne session) Crystal (Bedrock radio edit#1) Brutal 60mph (monitor mix - steve osborne session) 60mph David Khane mix 60mph David Khane mix (vocals down .5db) 60mph David Khane (recall master mix)

any info?

hmm, is anything available in mp3 format actually rare? if you have the actual disc that contained those studio mixes, then yes, it would be rare. But what you listed is a compilation of various bits circulated by fans. no mp3 is 'rare'. no CDR is rare so don't go thinking that just because the ebay lister says RARE OOP CDR, you're actually getting a genuine article. I can produced exact copies of CDR's with official looking inserts for lots of promo discs i have and sell them to idiots on ebay for profit, however i'm not a scum sucking low life. Well, not when it comes to ripping off my favorite band.

to answer your question, no they aren't rare, but yes they are interesting.

the reported demo mix of Brutal sounds just like the version on the soundtrack, though...is it properly marked?

I had no intention of trying to profit from these although i dont mind swapping cdr's or files..i guess what i wanted to know was are these legit mixes or is it amateur stuff...Brutal does indeed sound like the released version.

Okay, the listed songs were off either two (or three? - I can't remember) official Warners CDR's which I used to own before selling them to help finance a holiday (and, nope, I didn't get them via Warners - but a record shop online - I wish I *did* have a contact within Warners)! :D

Most of the mixes are not that different, tbh, as when it says "-.5 db", it is indeed that - i.e. same mix but -0.5 decibels... :)

I did, for a time, think that Brutal was a different mix, but relistening to it again recently, confirmed that it was actually exactly the same as the one on the Beach soundtrack... Ah well...

The David Khane mixes of 60MPH sound good, though - one of which appeared on a US Promo CD "20 Years Of New Order", but some only on various promo CDR's of the time - including the batch where these songs appeared from! :)

Thanks for the info...I havent been much of a collector since the Technique era and its easy to lose track of the billions of new order mixes.
