went to the bsp show today in bristol.
my highlights
seeing some members of the 3rd battalion in the pub next door before the gig (some in full camo gear) - knew it was them cos of that & the fact that cath aubergine was with them - when they left to go to the gig (a full 15 mins before the band were on) the table they were on was full of empty coke glasses. ![]()
temptation 12" was played between the victorian gentlemens evening club (support band - the bass player can stay
) & the main set. marvellous.
carrion & it ended on an oily stage.
hearing their version of the wurzles i am a cider drinker
the delicious irony of them covering all my colours/ zimbo at the end of the set. (read a great critique of them recently that said why do we need bsp - we already have one echo & the bunnymen)
the guitarist chiding someone who asked where the bear had gone with remarks that he should go to a childrens panto if he wanted to see that. apatr from his amazing memory loss this was coming from someone on a stage covered in sticks that also had a plastic bird sat on top of the drums
