This isnt anything big but worth mentioning...

If you happen to purchase an XBOX360 with a HDD, one of the 12 preloaded songs in the HDD is Krafty! It was definately a pleasant surprise to find a New Order song there. :thumb:

So the evil empire brought the new order? Are we surprised?

That isn't a bad way to get your songs out there. Attatching their single to a product that technological consumers line up for hours to get, I like that.

Being a Sony fan-boy myself, I'd rather see some new New Order track on the Sony PS3 next year. :thumb:

Other New Order references in video games:

Hideo Kojima, creater of the popular Metal Gear series of video games is a big Joy Division fan. He even named one of his games Metal Gear Solid: Substance after the Joy Division album of the same name.

Bizarre Love Triangle is a karaoke track on the Karaoke Revolution game.

I'm not interested in video games at all, but that's nice to hear.

Cold Funeral for a friend gratitude Head Automatica Marcy Playground Porcupine Tree Skinhead Tsar Unwritten Law Z trip and of course, New Order

All these artists are unknown to me. I was very surprised to see New Order on here. But hey, Im not complaining :)

well, 2 of my co-workers who have never heard of New Order called me recently because they want to buy their album. Being a new order fan, i was able to direct their purchase in the right direction:clap:

Happy Mondays went one better...

Shaun Ryder actually voices a character in the PS2/XBox/PC game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. 100% hilarious.

Maybe New Order will bring a game out? As the lead singer character you have to get as drunk and high before attempting to play a gig as badly as possible.:D

$400 for a Krafty digital single that weighs ten pounds and requires an AC power source, what a country!

Really NO is so innovative (like the 360). The band is on the way to the future.

sweet. I have Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (has some cool 80's tracks by the way), and haven't gotten the more infamous San Andreas yet. Which character does Shaun Ryder voice? I might just pick up a copy (sans Hot Coffee) in the used bin one of these days.

He plays a...surprise, strung-out British low-life wannabe thug, but to great effect, too bad his part isn't longer. During a mission, CJ has to pull over and let him out to be sick on the side of the road! He also rants about gigantic snakes and such. I might wanna go back and play these missions again!

His character (named ahem, Maccer) looks like Reni and even wears the boonie cap complete with Stone Roses lemon on it. His scenes include laying out in the desert tripping on peyote with Peter Fonda and his solo career manager, and being unable to record as he's busy tossing one off in the control booth (to Maggie Thatcher).

it's not a first btw, Close Range was on a PS2 game soundtrack too...

It's a weird world... Krafty on XB360, Guilt on I-Tunes and yet you can't put I-Tunes onto XB360 due to a falling out between Microsoft and Apple and you can get Krafty on XBox in the UK but not Guilt via I-Tunes in the UK....

Well I won't buy the 360 anyway. I'm a Playstation-Freak. I'll spend no more money to Bill Gates (if I haven't to).
