From what I just read, The Arcade Fire was opening for U2 here in Montreal for both shows U2 was doing here, and in the 2nd night, the Arcade Fire went on stage at the first encore and they did Love Will Tear Us Apart together.

Now, I'm seriously :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: for not going... shame on me, I had to spend money on a New Order ticket back then :p

i know this aint a U2 fanzine but they were my first concert 18 years ago, when i was 16, and again, the same venue 5 years later. good to see they are still kicking around even though i dont really listen to them, but i respect them. and yes spotnick - would have been nice to hear that in our belle province.

Must admit i went watching U2 at the Millennium Stadium back in June and they were fantastic. The Killers supported them as well, what a fantastic concert! Personally i preferred all the old stuff, Pride, etc.

The Arcade Fire cover of "Age Of Consent" (Thankfully without U2)is fantastic. I think that it must have been the U2 influence to do such an obvious cover version on this occasion.

Remember Hibster, they were opening, so it wasn't a full set:

Wake up laika no cars go haiti headlight looks like diamond tunnels power out rebellion

2 from the ep, not bad - glad to see no cars go still in there
