In an effort to please you (haha), I've uploaded 10 tracks I'm thinking about submitting to Community II and made a poll. I want to know what you guys like best. Here's a link to the basics. Feel free to comment in this thread if you don't have a Livejournal account to comment there.

Thanks!

Anybody? I dont want to just submit what I think is good and nobody else want to hear it.

I thought I'd never say this in my entire life, but here it is:

Your State of the Nation has quite high potential... I never realized this could be a quite good dance song if done in the proper way....

I enjoy Subculture as well.

But State, if done properly, seems to be a winner..

I didn't listen to Doubts Even Here or This Time of Night, are there any changes from 2004?

They're pretty much completely different. I hated the way This Time Of Night turned out in 2004. The new version is far supirior. Doubts Even Here, I've added alot to the drums, as well as the Hooky bassline and well, alot lol

TTON, Special and Mesh in that order. are you using samples in EGG? watch out for those! ;)

I think "I told you so" is really my favorite but I really like "Subculture" too…

some great stuff there

I would go for either Doubts Even Here or State of the Nation

DEH shades it though coz it's a brave song to try and you've got a good dancey beat going while keeping the emotion of the song. I wouldnt mind the full version of it!

As of now, there is a sample used in Everything's Gone Green and I Told You So until I can fix my mic, but don't worry, they aren't staying in the final versions. My guitar is ready to rock them out.

Yeah, DEH and TTON have come along quite nice since 2004. I think I've spent more time on Doubts than any song I've done yet.

I'm gonna go with EGG, just because it's one of my favorite songs and I think it sounds great with a modern arrangement.

SOTN rocks.. really good job..too bad you weren't around to remix that song back in '86. DEH is a close second.:thumb:

Are you guys actually voting on the poll? Because State only has one vote lol

Are you one of the brave few who hold the torch for SOTN? Your chiptunes rendition is class and it gets my vote. :thumb:

I actually put up a poll a month or so ago asking which song I should cover for a NewOrderOnline exclusive. The choices were Temptation, Mesh and World In fuckin' Motion. Mesh won. :P

I'd like to here the song finished (that's an argument !)…

I don't really like the arrangement on the original (little bit heavy for me :faint: ), so I think you made something more creative with it… this could be both interesting to stay on an instrumental basis or to sing on this one.

Those tracks are pure class no matter who does 'em. Figured I was safe with those ones

I thought they were all quite good. :) I was torn between two choices: This Time Of Night, which I thought had good music, but the vocals were a little too distorted; and Subculture, which I voted for because I think it sounds really good. If you speed it up a bit (especially if you don't plan to add vocals), I think it makes a pretty ace dance track. :)

SOTN. though, it's a bit unfair, because I'm impressed with all of them.

Yeah. Sad thing is, when my computer crashed, I was able to save all the files but the vocals. So for now, this is pretty much it for TTON. Unless of course it gets the most votes somehow, then I'd obviously have to work on it sooner. :)

I'm sorry to hear about your computer not cooperating... at least you were able to rescue everything else. :) I'd love to hear it with some new vocals eventually, but it makes sense to focus on the song with the most votes. Or if you think some female vocals might be in order somewhere, I'd be happy to help... ;)

Funny you should mention that. I could actually use some. Unfortunatly they're only backup.. But if you're interested..?

Tought call for me between Chemical and Doubts Even Here. They were all pretty good, a few of them sounded a bit like the music in those old Mega Man games (that is a compliment  )

Good stuff!

Not too bad so far. :) Like the vocalizing on the last "Isolation". Cool and unique take in all, I'm interested in hearing it when you're finished.
