Will there be one? The cover art for the Guilt single's already terrified me, but this has potential: as long as it's not a Jetstream-style disaster...

In my 19 years of existence, I haven't heard of the Pixies. The video is a bit different from what I'm used to expect from NO. But in my book, the Jetstream video is not a disaster. I like the song, by the way.:)

I have heard of Brit bands before, including Coldplay, and Oasis. But New Order got me hooked on the British music culture. I will listen to the Pixies when I get a chance. "Naive" is such a negative word. I couldn't help it, I'm 19!

I don't know if they will make a video, but I wouldn't mind anybody making a music video for this song. This song is much better than "Jetstream". I think the Scissor Sisters are OK, but I love New Order. Honestly, I'd rather have Barney do a duet with Jake Shears(the guy singer in the Scissor Sisters) than Ana, though.
I would love to see a video for GIAUM, Id love to see a really cooly shot one of the New Order performing it.
As for the Jetstream video..
I love Jetstream, its one of New Order's best pop dance songs. Its catchy as hell, has lovely production, and I feel like dancing and being happy when I hear it.
I am a DJ at a large night club, and everytime I play the album version of JET or the Arthur Baker remix, people go nuts.
I like the Jestream video...
But having Phil play guitar on it looks wrong, as the song barely has any guitar on it.
Thats what pissed me off about the live version of Jetstream. They put all of the synth parts, which carry all of the songs hooks and melodies, on a backing track instead of having Phil play them, so Phil could just wank off on his guitar and make it sound awful.
I actually wonder...Did Phil play keyboards on ANY of the WFTSC songs......
Ive got this feeling that on WFTSC, Barney played all the keyboards on all of the songs, maybe Steve added a bit here and there.......
GIAUE would be amazing live......Barney could sing, Steve could rock out on the drums, Phil could play synths, Hooky could improvise on his bass....the first half could be like the album version, the last half could be like the Mac Quayle version, Barney and Phil on synths and Hooky rocking out on lead bass.....

I agree, Jetstream video - a disaster. But hey, gotta forget the bad times, look at the good times.
Weren't the Pixies buddy-buddy with New Order? Or at least toured with them once or twice? They often namedrop New Order as an influence.

and while you're at it get yourself something by The Replacements, specifically "Let It Be" (don't confuse it with The Beatles song of the same name). There are heaps of truly great American bands out there, you just have to find them. Go for it mate.

pixies are ok, but check out "Copper Blue" by Sugar - that's some good AmRock for yer!
