A possibility with Mr. Marr and Mr. Sumner in attendance...?

Anyone heard any rumours...?

From the 'music for pleasure' forum:

Think there's a typo there, CD? Surely you just meant to put 'Why?'

Hopefully I won't get flamed by all the 'ardcore Electronic fans now ... that is, if he's bothered to get out of bed yet? :skeptic:

I would be very surprised if Electronic performed at MancVsCancer.

Most Electronic songs are quite complicated in terms of how they're performed and would probably need a fully rehearsed band/setup to pull them off. I suppose Marr, Phil, Jimi Goodwin from Doves + a drummer could commandeer New Order's rig for a few songs but I doubt it'll happen. Barney's need for an autocue with even the latest New Order songs probably means he's forgotten he was ever in a band called Electronic let alone remember the songs

I'd love it if they did play though! New Order, Electronic and Doves in the same evening  Not to mention there's definitely a good few Electronic tracks which are better than certain New Order numbers :D Twisted Tenderness was really the blueprint for Get Ready and I much prefer TT :thumb:

This is a first Mr Ally, I agree with ALL of the above

The only part you missed, was they were a bunch of lazy bastards who should have toured their fucking albums, I was lucky enough to be at Cities In The Park, but I would have loved a tour in 96 and 99. After Reading 93 the next gig I ever went to was Reading 98! Coulda done with a Raise The Pressure tour in the middle of that absence. And I agree TT is a fucking brilliant album.

One of these days you'll realise what you've been missing Al  :spit:

The arse has just fallen out of the universe  somebody agreeing with me on NOOL?! Cor Blimey, I need a lie down etc. Good to know Shug and that's reminded me, I'll try and remember to bring copies of those Monaco vids along to MancAid :thumb:

Oh, and a tenuous link but one of Al's favourite NO songs (Crystal) started out life as an Electronic b-side (Radiation). Don't worry I'll halt the side project trivia there
