Apologies if it's been linked before, but here's an article featuring Hauge talking exclusively about the composition of True Faith/1963Link

Yeah, i read that article before - its a great insight into the way they work. Like Gillian sitting in the background with a keyboard on her lap - & having all her parts worked fully formed; while Hooky would just jam along to the track & see what would happen. There's NO in a nutshell - precise electronics, coupled with edgy punk attitude.

i'm too lazy to click on the link. is this the sound on sound article? the funniest part of that article was how Barney "accidentaly" got locked in the studio one night with no food, and all he could do was write the lyrics to True Faith and 1963 virtually complete in that night. this was handy as up to then they had no words, and studio time was running out.

Fuckinell yes! You have to listen to the Peel session True Faith to hear all the bass properly.

I really enjoyed this little read, it was a very nice snapshot with scenes I hadnt seen before...I like the depiction of Gillian, for example.
