Is Substance on iTunes?

More importantly, does this forum have a Search form? I'm sure iTunes availability must have been discussed here before.

If Substance isn't there, could you tell me why not?

I just went there for the first time last week to download GIAUE--mixes are pretty good for me since they dont seem to be some bizarre DJ experiment gone wrong for 11 plus minutes....but thats just me! Anyways, theres a link for the "store", once there locate the link for "browse songs" or "super browse" (I'm at work and cant bring up the site)--once you are on browse you can type in a song title or album title and it will bring everything up. Hope that helps!

You can't just convert the song to mp3 to transfer to an iPod. The iPod uses a different file format.

You can load mp3s directly into an ipod via itunes, no prob.

I have a Sony. 1 GB. So far 7 NO shows in it.

ehh? sure you can load mp3's to an ipod. you can even set itunes to encode in mp3 format instead of the defaulted aac.

Do people really purchase songs for their iPods? I mean, I got a wall full of cds and two computers full. I have no desire to purchase a mp3 or iPod format.

Yes, I would rip it (to mp4 not mp3, personal pref) ... if I had Substance on CD rather than 17 year old cassette tape. And I'd rather use iTunes than a physical store because I received a gift certificate last Xmas so it's effectively free for me.

BTW, iPods can play mp3, mp4, wav, aiff, and several other formats. But actually I'm going to burn it to my physical CD collection.

Back to my original question: iTunes Music Store lists 32 New Order albums, everything from Low Life up through the latest stuff. Except for the Peel Sessions (which is understandable) and Substance (which is not).

Does anyone here know why?

Actually it is a pain in the as to convert to mp3. 99.9% on my downloaded music is in flac form.

Actually, there are other Peel albums on iTunes, just not NO's. And anyways, that's not the droid I'm looking for.

Only if Substance was not a NO album, in which case there are about 100000 web sites (and my own brain) with faulty memories.

Okay, new question. Since no one here knows the answer, perhaps someone could point me to more authoritative NO references that might be able to tell me?

Not sure what your problem is, Frankie. Substance is on the iTunes Store UK, albeit only a partial album. Perhaps you are in another country? You can download the full version from tiscali, and I expect it's available from other online stores. iTunes doesn't offer every album eg you can't get the best of the remixes from the UK store (or at least not last time I looked) but it's available from the US store.
