I cannot send myself along And so I send you this, May birds sing on this day a song, Joy in your heart, with The Perfect Kiss, At Sunrise may spirits guide your way, A Means to an End be the goal, Fond thoughts be yours Morning, Night and Day, May strength abound from your Heart and Soul, Creativity radiant, as the New Dawn Fades, So profuse is the music you write, Technique refined through the Decades, Your lyrics portray such unique Insight

So have a Fine Time on your Birthday

Hello Steve

Glad you liked it - My Birthday is in April - we have a lot in common, mind you I am a lot older. So I expect one of your rhymes for that. Ok. Got the inspiration for the poem from a postcard I recently bought. I collect old postcards prior to 1935. It was quite strange how I came across the card. Nearly missed it, as I was being told to hurry up.

Old postcards.....interesting. I have a real thing for looking at ancient pics of my home town actually, used to be a major port and tourist trap once.

i'll see what I can do come April regarding a nice limierick or suchlike for your birthday. It's very odd...75% of my friends seem to have a birthday near mine. makes organizing parties So easy tho :D

But we'll be in touch before that cos the Barney's Angel's badges are being ordered today/tomorrow. :D

Can't wait Steve - Hey where's that psychiatrist that other guy needed. I think I need him as well.

I think it's too widespread to be explained as mental illness to be honest.

my dear friend Leanne, who doesn't like No's music, but loves to watch them anyway cos they are funny, said "I reckon he'd have been WELL worth it in his day"...I showed her PFD....she drooled LOL I guess that means we can rule out the music as a mind altering factor as well.

Me again Steve - Checked the music page on teletext last night think its page 344. They have listed top 50 albums for 2005, saw that NO are in 29th position. Also they topped best gig for T in park.

I'd rather no one liked em but us :D

i dunno, half of me wants them rammed down the throats of the unbelievers, and for them to get stinking rich in the process, and half of me wants them protected from that kind of hype and pressure, not to mention of course the fact that it's bloody nice to know a secret shared with only a few fellow true faithful. I'm not sure i ever want "billie, doogie and skinser" the spides to say anything other than "huh" when they hear NO mentioned.

I do agree with you. As I am sure you have gathered I am not that young. Having originally like JD music and still do. Me being quite an unusual person, and as most people say to me very spirited. I always like to think I'm right about issues. So as a good number of years have now passed there is now that part of me that wants to be proved right about this band and their music, and the only way I can be proved right and say to people, work colleagues etc- see I told you they were good - is for them to given awards in acknowledgement of their capabilites and see their music at the top of the charts, so I have now changed my opinion about Joe Bloggs liking them.

I think I'll never get used to them being treated like fookin pop stars....but on the positive side...neither will they, and they wont even try. :D
