Please can someone offer me a little assistance.... I've been trying on and off for weeks to get my profile put up on the board but after filling in all the necessary bits (including every "mandatory" section) and pressing the "submit" button, I ALWAYS seem to get this message (or some slight variant of it):

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040 e14'

Line 1 : Incorrect Syntax near '.'. /profile_edit. asp. line 91

Does anybody here know what on earth that means, cos I don't, and I'm getting a bit miffed that I cannot seem to overcome this.... and has anyone else had this problem as well? Any advice or help on how to resolve this matter would be VERY warmly appreciated. Thank you all.

Well, there is something that can't be saved in the database that you're entering.

To help me fix it, you will have to do the painful job of entering ONE item at the time and saving each time to see which line will make it crash, then I'll be able to tell you why.

Sorry, but this isn't a bullet proof application as you can see!

Thanks for that - I was seriously worried that no bugger was going to even bother troubling themselves with replying to me on this one.......I'll give it a go and see what happens...mind you it sounds like one hell of a bleeder of a task going thru each one in turn. Could be a bit trying on the patience and that..... Damn technology, why did they ever bother?!!! :( :(
