Angry New Order, they gave it some.
Still buzzin after Denial Barney gives it "who said we are a synthesizer group eh?"...then swaps some profanities with the audience (a violent one at that)
Then Hooky ripped the place to pieces.
For crying out loud - how many times must people duplicate thread subjects on this forum? I must have seen about 20 gazillion threads all titled "New Order's Finest Moment", "Best New Order album tracks", "Your Perfect New Order Set List", or "Best New Order Song To Eat To/Have Sex To/Have A Crap To" or summat. People really are running out of ideas! 
Come on, let's have a bit of inspiration and originality from now on....... :p

Yeah - I have actually, though you'll just have to dig them out as they're buried in the back pages somewhere! They're so rockin' that I assure you your computer monitor will tilt over in shock when you come across them!! ;)

Of course I know the Poachers! It's one of our locals.... As is the Dog and Partridge with live band nights on from time to time - I love to laff at the inane indie schmindie revivalist amateurs who turn up there, some of them are so unintentionally funny it's untrue.
As for Phil Collins - I usually kick up a scene too whenever one of his "songs" come on the jukebox - which, thankfully these days, is rather rare.... ;)

Unfortunately I don't sorry - I'm not in there daily so I wouldn't be too brilliant on first name terms. There is a fat bloke with a huge gut called Brian who usually hogs the pool room there though. Fooking mental Stockport County fan he is too. He used to be there every time I was but I haven't seen him around recently - perhaps he too has been hunted down by the Macc psycho contingent and skinned for his blubber, who knows? ;)

You'd know Eric though, 6ft 4 of Aberdeen granite. Top bloke but I could never understand a fookin word he said. I met up with the pair of them in Sydney a few years back, had an arm wrestle with Eric, I didnt just lose, I nearly lost my arm !!

Damn! I got my wiress crossed when talking about Fatty Brian - he's not a regular in the Poachers - rather, he's one in the Dog and Partridge - whose pool room I was actually referring to. My mistake - sorry but its late and I'm a bit the worse for wear - blame it on the liquor.....I'm fooking losing it here and my dogs need to go out for a midnight walk too but I'm too knackered...and me missus has already turned in anyway.... AAAAARGHHH......SOMEBODY HELP MEEEEEEE.....

Musically, I really honestly think they still have it in them, and if I can't say "it's yet to come" it's the fire flying out of them during their 'comeback' dates of 98.
As for finest non musical moment, that was classy what they did for those kids a few months back. Real classy.

To these ears, there can only be a single defining moment in the evolution of this band... the spring morning in 1982 when I walked into Rough Trade and heard the needle touch down on the warped surface of the 7" single with the paint splattered sleeve... the chugging machines sounding so cold, but so warm... after the wintery Procession which came before, this not only sounded like a different band, it made the world seem different... it removed the weight and made the world bloom and come alive with color... it made you realize that you didnt have to be different like Ian Curtis to be special... you just had to be...
