Got this from Warner, it will be rescheduled but they don't know yet... they seems to be a little clueless right now about what's going on, so I can't say about the 12x12" and what Warner will do on their side with those release.

All I know is Turn is not for February anymore.

It was mad enough releasing it this long after the album, now they are doing a Factory and putting it off again

We shouldnae be surprised, should we!

at this rate, the new album will be released before turn!

A classic New Order song needs a classic video with little or no band appearance and a classic frustrating postponement.

Check. Check. Check.

I don't suppose they hinted why they were postponing ?

They've lost the master tapes

Barney wasn't happy with the vocal track anyway

Mr Saville still hasn't delivered the finished sleeve artwork

There's still a legal wrangle over the publishing

Tony Wilson is insisting that they wait until he can assign the release date with a Factory number ending in '3'

John Denver has claimed that it sounds just like 'Leaving On A Jetplane' (twat)

Take your pic...

Ha ha ha ha..... don't say I told you so!:p :evil4:

Warner = fooking clueless incompetents.

Better still, scrap its release altogether. I think some of us would prefer it that way.

ya know, i haven't seen this many pissed off fans since the Montréal Canadians stopped winning the Stanley Cup.

if isn't releases coming out on various formats, or re-releases of vinyl singles, or postponing of a single, or... all of these are standard obstacles in the music industry. yet people here feel the need to complain about them. so what if warner puts new order on a 'b' or 'c' priority. as long as we get the music somehow and see them on tour sometimes. so what if they get a grammy nomination for a song that doesnt have a commercial release! i dunno, maybe i aint as obsessed with the band as some people here are, for i like the mystery and the long gaps in between albums. ease up and enjoy the music while they are still putting stuff out! and to think some people are blaming Warner for all the gripe... with such a long history and such a prolific act, i am sure new order have some say in how their music is released, 'if' it's released. for all the completists out there... i used to be one. certain things in my life just forced to partake of the paradigm of 'take what i can get'. with a band like new order, maybe it's the way it's supposed to be. maybe that's how they want it. and thats fine with me.

ahem.

let me guess, they a sudden realization that the video needed to be reshot.

If the single is postponed then let's hope the promos are too. I could do with a little more time to recharge my bank account after the last little lot on eBay and upcoming MancAid costs!

I hope this delay doesn't mean that Turn will be another Late At Night i.e. manufactured, delayed, delayed then eventually withdrawn altogether :(

Give the tracks to Nic! He'll release it at a local Monreal record factory faster than Warner bosses in Londageles. Plus we've got our own store here.

Nic...just a clarifying question...

So Turn is postponed. I'm not sure I understand the part about 12" X 12" ...is that postponed as well? You mention Warners but aren't these being put out by the other label?

They told me Turn is postponed, no promo were pressed (despite what I've been told by Howard Wakefield) to a further date... so it will be released.

What I'm saying is that they are probably releasing SOMETHING ELSE then, hence the 12x12" and there is probably a reason why Turn won't be released yet, might be as stupid as the b-sides aren't ready yet... I have no idea, they didn't give me a reason.

They read the site and saw all of us actually getting excited about it. Darn my enthusiasm!

Hay, guys - we get it. You hold the reigns, now give us your single.

(In all reality, I did expect it. Things always come up.)

Whats the problem? We've all got the song anyway. So you'd get a picture of a bird and some crappy re mixes. Doesnt bother me if they dont release it.

Would be nice to hear it on Radio 2 a couple of times, then watch it spend a week at 29 in the pap charts.

Although if the CD single's got the video as a bonus, I'm buying. Even better if it's a DVD in 5.1 to complement Collection.

For me, this is the best track they have(will) release(d) in the last ten years. Unfortunately the paying public want something different, anyone that is a regular on nool will agree. For me turn isn't really commercially viable, yes we all love it and it is Without oubt the best track they have done for the last 20 years(technique was 1989,17 years ago!),but it will just be for the HARDCORE FANS which will buy it of course. It is a shame that they didn't release it at an earlier date. We all know that we wanted it as soon as wftsc came out,it is beyond doubt the best track on the album,if not the best track they have ever done!:thumb:

Yes, and give Guilt is a Useless Emotion a proper release - on a CD, at least and with a video. It is a better song.

Given the performance of Guilt on the Billboard charts(despite a controversial release format[on here at least!!]) and the Grammys looming in February, they may relent and make GIAUE a wider format release if it does manage to take home a Grammy and do it along with Turn as a dual-title single release. As has been said on here before though Turn or Guilt could have been released in preference to either Jetstream or Krafty.

you mean he hasn't yet told Mr. Wakefield what font to use?

The next thing we know, Warner will probably postpone themselves.

Yeah - that's a good idea, get rid! Go on! Bog off! Useless cunts!!

I have had a NO avatar before. My first avatar here was a B&W pic of Barney surrounded by purple smoke. I've had Simon Gallup avatars and briefly one for Gravitation, an anime series. I've only had a DM avatar since May, but I like all bands - NO, DM, and the Cure.

I really hope they do that, or have Guilt as the A side and Turn as the B side. They're both good songs, but I still think Guilt is a better single.

Perhaps he wants it like his live rendition

"Turn your eyes from me, It's time for me TO GO....."

I would appreciate a faster version and yes, maybe the live version.
