HELLO FORUM,

ABOUT 1999 THERE WAS A REAL AUDIO BOOTLEG OF AN OLD LIVE VERSION OF PERFECT KISS FROM EARLY 80'S FLOATING ON THE INTERNET (IT SOUNDED REALLY RAW).

IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN THE RECORD VERSION, LIKE IT HAS REALLY BASIC KEYBOARDS BUT IT IS STILL REALLY AWESOME. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THIS BOOTLEG IS AT ALL? CAN SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE POST IT??? I USED TO HAVE IT ON A TAPE BUT I LOST IT.

THANKS!

DAVID

Any reason for the capital letters? any specific version? theres a ton of versions from 1984 onwards.

Are we talking about the "I've got a cock, it looks like the M1" version? It pops up on these boards frequently, but it's only one of many, many other post-'84 recordings.

that would be the one i am listening to right at this moment in time.

You need the "Iv'e got a cock like the M1" version from the Royal Festival Hall 1984.

Was just listening to the Birmingham Powerhouse 84 version just the other day.

Those from August 84 are halfway there - one at De Panne sticks in my mind - all are easily available.

Leicester Palais is my favourite of the early ones.

Best early version for me is Birmingham may or june 84, at the end you can hear somebody close by saying 'brilliant' which it was.

It was indeed brilliant. It's such a pity that the only people who don't like the song these days are those who could play it for us!

As far as i know the first live version of "The Perfect Kiss" was performed at the Royal Festival Hall on 14th May 1984 (i have a soundcheck version from the same gig, so i guess that's the first version of it), this is the "M1" version and a big thank you to Rocket Mick for sending it to me, and David, if you want a copy of this you will need to do a few more posts (like a hundred more mate, and you need to stop typing in caps, it's a dead give away, at least i think it is?)
