Question about Temptation 7"

The answer is probably on this site but meh...

is the version on Singles THE definitive version of the 7inch?

Pretty much, although the stereo channels may be revered. I can't remember which tracks on "Singles" are affected.

I haven't double checked, but aren't all the tracks on Singles reversed?? Amazing that someone could master an album and balls up the stereo channels without noticing!

Surely the definitive version of the 7" is just that, the 7" vinyl version?

Its the original 7" version on Singles but that wasnt definitive for the song, if thats what you mean - the bassline is largely 'understated'. Only on the Substance version is it 'fully developed'.

i disagree. the original 12# is the one to get.

Not for the full bassline it isnt..

definitive version on cd, I'm not up for buying a turntable and hunting down the 7inch, smart alec!

but on the soundtrack for them movie "something wild" they had:

it was a lot shorter, and cut out quite a few parts..

But wait... was the "bolts from above" line not on the 7inch? Cos its not there on Singles but I swear it should be...
