It was a bit hard for me to pick one of them, but I went on with Barney.

True enough, it's usually horrid down here. We've got a really rare bit of low 70's with a breeze. I'm relishing in it while it lasts. :)

Barney seems funny in interviews, but when you see the photo's of him not on stage he looks miserable as sin and up his iwn arse, hooky seems to remember his working class background and is probably more down to earth, maybe jack will tell us he's a complete twat, who knows?.

Hooky it would have to be for me, Barney would only be fun if he was in a mood to geek out about stuff...whereas Hooky's just a really sound and well informed New Order fan :D

I can only echo what the esteemed bass fiend says.

I can imagine Hooky would be more fun, with less potential for mood swings, but Barney is pleasant to gaze at and probably entertaining to dance with.

i fancy barney (his looks, at least), but that's no reason to hang out with him for an entire day. hooky would be much more interesting, methinks.

I'd probably want to hang out with Barney, not because he'd be more fun than Hooky, but I just feel it would be a more surreal experience. I'd probably ask him about how often he plays his guitar and make him feel awkward.

barney sometimes seems like a seriously miserable soul (prozac never kicked in)... i've been to a couple of hooky's dj sets and he is always in good spirits... by the way- happy half century to the ol' cap'n hookster- you're only as old as you look... ha!!!

I notice the majority have voted for Hooky, but when I go to his Birthday thread he hasn't, so far, received as many Birthday congratulations as Barny,in fact its less than 30. I remember a lot of criticism regarding certain people favouring Barney approx 4 wks ago. Have some of you forgotten to wish Hooky happy birthday? Must be an oversight!

That's a tough choice, I love them both.

In the end, I have to go with Barney. I know his recent stage antics are cringe-worthy, but the man wrote Temptation. In my book, that qualifies him for Sainthood.

NO that isn't what I'm talking about - its the people who said "poor Hooky its not fair that Barney is getting all the attention we like Hooky" - its some of those people that appear to have forgotten his Birthday

Seeing that the question was about hanging out for the day, I voted for Hooky. He's been described as 'handy to have around when your car breaks down' and apparently he's into decorating as well, so he could make himself usefull around my house (while telling amusing anecdotes), before we go out on his motorbike and have a night out on the town.

Now Barney would be a different story. I probably wouldn't want to give him back at the end of the day...
