Here's a place you can buy them.. (or WILL be able)

http://www.amatodirect.co.uk

I was also told Amazon UK should eventually have them, and they will send me a list of places you'll be able to pick them up yourselves.

I'm still trying to convince WenOrder we should sell them as well... ;)

for those in america,

you can try to order them from here:

http://www.sirendisc.com

they are currently listed under future releases, if you do a search for 'new order'.

also, i guess i haven't really noticed it, but it seems like almost every new single that is out, has a 7" release along with it and sometimes a 12" too, i guess they are becoming popular again..

Well the design makes sense in so far as it helps promote the singles compilation. In this case new order/Warners have not one but 12 singles out to draw attention to "Singles". Not a bad idea really. They've even got a blue leaf for Blue Monday, too bad they didn't manage to match the green one with EGG.

Worst part is, Peter Saville is pissed at Warner right now, he never saw the design and didn't approve them...

He's mostly pissed at the FONTS used because they are outdated and, I state it "the font is an old one he hates (now used by of all people Coldplay)"

;)

Warner will never learn

So why in heavens there's a "art direction Peter Saville" credit on "Singles"?

Because it's not the same font on Singles than on the 12"...

Funny, that.

First thing I noticed was the font and the inconsistency with the Singles' font, despite the rest of the design similarities. Not surprised Peter's a little pissed.

The fact it could be seen as borrowing design from Coldplay would be the icing on the cake! The least they could've done was run the proofs by him.

£5.50 each from there - HMV are selling for £3.99 each...

(Although I have an instant dislike for HMV online, so I'll make my way into a store to physically buy them)! :evil4:

Folks,

I don't know if these work particularly well, but there are HMV online discount codes at the following location...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers.php

Might take some of the cost off for you. Note that I can't guarantee that any of those are valid or that they work, but you might as well try them if you're going to be buying the full whack anyway.

Cheers,

MK

12 x 12" to Australia through HMV.

$114 for the vinyl and a whopping $106 for shipping.

Option B anyone?

:\pimp3:

i think i may just have to dive to sydney in the hope that a certain shop may just stock it (eventually. at this stage the fuel costs should still come in less than the shipping costs.

I spoke with kind souls @ Greville Street records in Melbourne & they are apparently looking into likelihood of being able to source the set - if I hear anything I'll let interested parties know...

I'm probably going to burn all the vinyl-only stuff to CD (via the hi-fi-route, not the PC) when they arrive. Happy to share (if people have the vinyl)

Will be taking advantage of yr kind offer once I've invested in the twleves - well, the ones that contin material I don't already own.

Does the offer extend to older material? I have plenty of tracks on vinyl that I'm too lazy/technologically backward to stick on CD myself, and would grovel pathetically to get crisp, digital copies thereof...

Hey hey, I've just had a great idea!

Anyone who thinks this is a rip off should NOT BUY THEM.

(Oh, and shut the fuck up while they're doing it)

TheIdealCopy posted them today. $11.99 each or $139.99 for the whole sha-bang. 30lbs, so shipping is $10.99 or $19.99 for Priority USPS.

For people outside the UK, we're trying to get then in our shop.. obviously we'll be able to do multiple shipments and stuff to save you on shipping.

(At least I hope so!)

BTW, 3 for a tenner from Virgin Megastores - so says the full-page advert in this month's DJ Magazine! :)

Funny about the Albertus font -- that was the first thing I noticed, too. No wonder Saville is pissed. The design looks lazy.

was about to order these from hmv.co.uk seeing as they have the best price, even given the ridiculously weak US $, but the shipping cost to the US is a whopping £45.00!!! :banghead:

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Since HMV amended their shipping policy, it's no longer viable to order stuff like this off them if you're not in the UK.

They are cretins who've just tossed in a sizeable chunk of the international music/movie retail market.

I'll be interested in ordering from the NOOL store, depending on shipping rates from the US. But once you factor in the initial shipping from UK-US, will it be economical?

For interested parties, I'll see whether Warner AU have got anything to do with local distribution.
