What tracks do you prefer to listen when you're giving a lift or just when you're alone (Just NO Songs)? What's the worse track to play when you're with somebody in your car? Just Curious: Do you raise the volume to expect somebody listen to it and like it?

My answers:

  1. 60 mph, Temptation 12" remix, True Faith and BLT.
  2. Thieves Like Us (You have to listen a lot to get used and enjoy it).
  3. Fucking yes!

I pump up anything by NO on the car stereo, but there really is nothing like the drums of Blue Monday to push you to speed off into the night.

I haven't got a car, so i attempted to carry my stereo playing new order whilst giving my mate a backie so he could hear too...

I could still hear the opening riff of age of consent when the ambulance arrived....

heh heh, good one major.

recently hired a new shape beetle, had low life & palatine (picked the commercial one iwth bez on the sleeve) on tape when in it & drove around with that blaring out.

gave gilrfriends family lift in it & played them palatine - from the mondays step on onwards

think they liked it.

Regret is always a good one to drive fast to, and never seems to raise any objections from passengers!! ;)

I was actually driving home down the M6 heading back to London last night and when Face Up came on while i was giving LowLife an airing i instinctivly cranked up the volume that extra bit louder and screamed out the lyrics at the top of my voice!!

.....yea i was going just ever so slightly over 60mph!! ;)

vrooom vrooom!! :car:

I tend to hate people driving with the music blaring out of the car's loudspeakers.

But of course I would raise no objection if they were playing NO on the stereo. It usually is gangsta rap.

"Love will tear us apart" has to be the ultimate driving song!!!

I don't have a car either - but when I take over me mates stereo - recently it has been The Steve Lamacq Sessions (Slow Jam extremely loud) and The Saturday Sessions from 84 (Sooner Than You Think even louder);)

My car stereo is deader than dead, so I can't listen to anything in the car  but I do sometimes sing (offkey) some of my favorite songs when no one's nearby to overhear. Usually I sing Blue Monday or Temptation, then someone comes near and I realize as they pass laughing at me that I really need a car stereo.......

or maybe a :tank:.......

Have received a good reaction from Love Vigilantes and AOC. In A Lonely Place hasn't ever been as well received, can't figure out why, and by God, the passengers are going to enjoy NO as much, and as loudly, as I do.

"60 Miles An Hour" is the obvious choice. Anything from "Low Life" is cool as well.

Tsk, I can't drive, I'm only 15. When I'm alone I like to listen to Temptation, or anything off the 1981-1982 EP.

Ok,

We've got a lot of answers here. Some have got a car some haven't got. Anyway I have to clear that here in Brazil we have to have a car before we have a home because we don't have enough tube to travel around. Ok, the buses are not very good.

Round & Round, True Faith and Blue Monday are always enjoyed. In a Lonely Place, well I had a friend that loved this song but now he is dead (Too much drugs and he was killed by a traficant, is this word right?).
