no but I do think the music they use on entertainment today on Fridays on GMTV sounds like New Order music - anyway it did the other Friday when I was home sick
They're a lot more like the Jam to my ears. The drumroll at the very beginning could I guess sound like something Steve would do at the intro of Murder or Atrocity Exhibition. Moreover though, reminds me more of XTC's Travels in Nihilon or Section 25's underrated drumming.
Overall the band is pretty good and sounds like what the Velvet Underground would produce had Disney licensed them for the soundtrack to one of their cartoon flicks.

good stuff. in general, looking forward to where they go.
they could style wise-if NO had felt under contract maybe they'd sound more similar.
Well, the title brings to mind some alleged JD soundalikes... Is the album any good? Quite ike the singles I've heard, but tend to be a bit suspicious of bands who are hyped so much...

Just read your post properly - just the end bit - thought you meant the whole song before!
will have another listen
I suppose the drum at the start does a bit. very much doubt whether it is intentional though.
sounds pretty much like the libertines second album to me.
