Ok, when you're talking about NO it's a rare Concert but lets see it in a simple way: The sound is almost shit. Guitar sound is pure shit. There are two fucking good songs missing, the crowd does not give to much shit to the concert, Barney forgets the lyrics in LV and As It is When It Was is rubish because they don't use acoustic guitars. Is not there anything better than PFD to be released?

i thoroughly enjoyed p.f.d.! the pre-gig stuff in the dressing room,barney looked like death.and the crowd were just hilarious,i think they only knew blue monday

There's an excellent video of Belgium 31/12/85. Good video and sound and a great setlist although the video I have has a few songs missing I think.

Do you ever enjoy anything ? As It Is was an unreleased song then, that was only the third time it had ever been played, very much work in progress. It wouldn't be the same if Barney remembered the lyrics to everything now, would it ?

I've only seen the DVD available out of Japan. As far as I know, there has not been a UK release.

As for the Belgium video, great set list, but I've yet to find one that is above average quality. Mine is very "grainy" and the audio is a little flat.

I love everything NO makes but I think that PFD is not the right 1st concert to release in video. I still love PFD but there are better concerts from NO that will never be released and it's a shame.

The Japanese are sooooo misunderstood. They actually knew most of the songs played that "HAD" been released in Japan at the time. They are a very "Reserved" people though, and rarely and even better...more lately, go wild at shows.

Sorry to bring football up again, but I lived in Toulouse for 2 years, and luckily enough it was during France 98. I went to see Japan against Argentina, and you couldn't have had two such different sets of fans. The Argentines (Argentinians?) stood up, yelled and screamed for 90 minutes, banged drums, blew trumpets and threw ticker tape.

The Japanese all sat in their allocated seats, applauded politely (even when Argentina scored) and took their rubbish home with them afterwards.

Well, if Barney is standing munching his wiped-out little head, my mates will say "He`s mad as fuck" and their appreciation will grow for the band.

yeah he looked completely out of it.he even had a go at his guitar amp if i remember correctly..and hooky..obviously.great stuff
