Fine Time Silk Mix / JD Amsterdam 1980 Live Recording

Can anyone tell me anything about these? The fine time record at the local store has a record with 2 mixes on it but no juust "Fine Time" if you know what I mean. I can't remember what the other one was called.

The Amsterdam recording has popped up in a few places for about 35 bucks and is brand new bearing the sticker "Never before released - produced by Martin Hannett". I can't find this in the albums section of this site. Any info?

(Ps. Store wants 50 bucks ofr a beat up 12" transmission single. It's not worth that, is it? I stink at buying vinyl. Could anyone give me a list of things I should buy if I find them? I already have True Faith and WIM 7" and Movement. Thank you, I'm not not from a vinyl background or generation!)

MIL -the other track is called DON'T DO IT which would be my response to question 3.But i'm obsessive about MINTY MINT versions though i realize these are hard to find these days.But that seems an awful lot of money and i bet the record is DAMAGED aswell.Look after the cover and the VINYL usually is PLAYABLE.But good luck anyhow. The only vinyl that I know of that fetches serious cash is An Ideal for Living (probably £200 for 12" and £600 for 7" if they are genuine).

As for New Order that multi-coloured PCL is worth a bit and some oddity of TPK a double 12" acetate (never seen one).

As for CDs there aren't any monster rarities that I know of. The current promos are silly money and not justified. The BM88 CDV is worth 60-70 quid apparently though and the DATs aren't cheap.

I am waffeling ....

Cheers for the comment people - its much easier with vinys to know what you're looking for. Today I cought Low Life and True Faith 12" for a steal, bout 10 bucks each - so I'm chuffed about that.

So is this record worth getting? The live amsterdam show?

No - it's a commonly available bootleg that can be found just about everywhere a lot cheaper!

Thanks for that, old monkey. I would have been fooled by this one - it looked pretty legit and sealed in a few major record stores.
