Well I guess I have to admit that i only own one joy division cd (BBC recordings) and had a few mp3's and never got into them as much as new order. But last night i downloaded all of closer and listened to it as a whole and it was amazing. The eternal is one of the greatest songs i have ever heard. Well, i just had to put this.

sorry on both counts. I always forget Its brian eno with the "ia" and bryan ferry with the"y." sorry for bringing up the topic on joy division, i was just really excited about it and i dont have anyone in my area to talk about it with.

Well, my brother lives in Santa Barbara, and I did buy him a Joy Division CD for Christmas one year, but he's never said anything about it though, I figured he just had to have it. Helluva lot better than buying an Ozzy album like I did once. :nonono:

I got into JD first myself, then ran out of things to get so I decided to check out New Order.

Closer is definitely a classic, but I find myself popping in Unknown Pleasures more often. Anyone else prefer UP over Closer?

I PREFER UNKNOWN PLEASURES TO THE 2ND ALBUM.I GUESS THAT THIS IS BECAUSE I WAS THERE AT THE BEGINNING AND FIRST IS THE MOST MEMORABLE.THE LATE 70S WAS A PRETTY BLEAK TIME AND THIS ALBUM WAS A GOOD REMINDER OF THAT TIME. JUST GOIN FOR A LIE DOWN. ROCKET FAC53
