Just had a call from a friend saying he had just seen a trailer for an 1 hour long NewOrder special next wednesday (13th) at 9pm called "under the influence" showing interviews with Hooky and Steve

I've quickly checked the mtv site but couldnt see anything on there as yet, hopefully more details will emerge soon...

Alright I checked my MTV2 listings on DirecTV online and it says Control Freak will be aired on Wed the 13th at 7PM Eastern time and will repeat on the 14th and the 15th at the same time.

I sure hope this is the same show!

Errr.... neither actually as we're talking about MTV2 in the UK.

All I can say is.......SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT!

Lucky brits,....I hoped at around the time of the US release of Get ready that there might be something on the MTV2 about NO (a video collection, perhaps), but nothing. Now, with absolutely no access to MTV2, nevermind the UK equivalent, I am left out as New Order get some recognition. Oh well, I'll fucking deal with it, I guess.

I think Finsbury is out if I plan on doing a summer semester at my local community college, but then again I might just pull it off and make it over there. Here's to eternal hope.......

It was a good programme actually. Hooky was close to tears when asked why he'd picked Atmosphere, reasons being that he'd recently seen 24HR PP and found the JD part to be "very powerful, very disturbing","it almost broke me heart again"......"it'll be at my funeral"

I'm not sure...I've been told that NTSC and PAL are not compatible...but hey, I've been misinformed once or twice in my life...so maybe it would work....

I only saw from where the dog bites the 'bears' bum  as it took me a while to locate a friend with a satellite dish 'cause i've only got itv chuffing digital. From where i saw it was quite good musically but alas missed out on seeing the folks themselves.

True faith video - very random but it reminds me why i wanted to marry barney when i was 10! :)

Not yet seen it although a friend has taped it for me, he said it was a very in depth and interesting interview citing their influences from other bands and tracks.

I heard as well that Hooky nearly broke down when talking about Atmosphere....

The interview was in the first half of the programme, second half hour was dedicated to showing their video's apparently.

:mad:I managed to record a blank screen for an hour. Anyone know if it's to be repeated?

I find http://www.mydigiguide.com/ is best for UK TV listings. Have a look.

I have to be very nice to my neighbour this evening then - (with satellite dish) as she kindly let me watch what i caught of it last night (after i'd banged their door down) even though she has the musical tastes of a buffalo and likes Bon Jovi! :nonono:

If anyone want, you can send me the tape, one of the french guys at work has a multiple-format VCR, and a pretty decent capture card, so I could actually convert and encore the damn thing.

Mail me privatly if you wish to send me a tape..

Err...apparently I have a contact in one of the Asian countries who had recorded that programme and is converting it into a VCD disc format which can be viewed on most DVD players.

...let's hope he sends me the disc....fingers crossed....
