1963 (Lionrock Sparse'N'Fast Mix)

Anyone know if this mix a rare one????

i found this remix on a (Journeys By Dj) Mix tape done by Justin Robertson 1995,this tape was free with Select Magazine..

the mix that was on the select tape is on the 1963 -95 cd single.

its listed as Lionrock Full Throttle mix

The New Order Discography at niagara.edu has the following information:

12": UK 1995 (London Records 90 Ltd NUXXDJ6) [promo] 7:50 1963 (lionrock full throttle mix) 6:07 1963 (lionrock sparse'n fast mix) 6:25 1963 (lionrock M6 sunday morning mix)

It would seem the mix you mention is confined to a 12" promo of Nineteen63. I haven't bothered seriously looking to add that 12" to my collection yet so have no idea how rare it is.

The mix on the Select tape is definetley the same as the one on the CD single i have

The two mixes are, very , very similar - only way to really tell them apart is the running time. I think one has a bit more lyrics on, perhaps?

i haven't seen it about anywhere and mine is just the regular one with the vanelli remixes, full throttle and M6.

Hows going, Rococo Mick....did u get good feed in the lock-up?......yeah, the die-cut promo is quite yummy looking but I dont have a 'MINTY MINT' copy tho...the white sleeve tend to get grubby or the die-cut torn, etc...( and my CD box version - the glue doesnt hold the CD tray anymore,grrrrr...)

Anyway, all you discography experts might be able to help me - can anyone confirm if there's a 2x12" versions of this die-cut 1963 promo? Mine is only a single 12" in dark blue inner sleeve.

Yup there is - I have them both. Only way to tell them apart is the labels of the 12"s themselves. Nice items, but I got 'em 2nd hand, and the die-cut bits are easily damaged!

That's a good parallel.

i've got them both too. got them in 1994 i think. one is perfect and the other one has a slight bend in the 3 but hey, i can't complain as its hard to get them this good. can't remember that i paid for them, prob 4 quid each. as how rare they are??? i really don't know as i never search for them

Hey, alas they aren't very rare at all. I have to say I agree with the earlier post about Justin Robertson. Normally all of his mixes are top draw but these really don't rank up there at all. And for a track too.
