I just stumbled across a very good quality acapella of Crystal on the net :)

Anyone else heard this or know of these vocal solo's origin???

It's probably from Acidplanet New Order Remix contest. You can find hundreds of Crystal remixes available for download. You can find the contest main page here.

acapella is from the crystal single. it is very short. all it is is the vocal track.

Are there any other examples of NewOrder acapellas?? as this is the first i've recalled coming across!

I must admit it sounds really weird hearing Barney sing with no backing music!!!

Not sure I want to hear this ! :)

Not being arsed to go check my vinyl, doesn't the Arthur Baker Streetwise Confusion remixes feature an acapella version? I'm pretty sure it does.

Hearing those raw Crystal vocals was a bit of a shock. Let's just say that the addition of music and overdubs does his vocals a lot of favours..

Oddly, in one of the tracks you can actually hear a phone ringing in the studio in the background. I assume this one wasn't used in the final version!
