OK, NO released a bunch on Compilations from Substance to Best (of) to Singles. What songs do you think should be considered for the anthologies that didn't make the cut?

AoC was on the compilation that got me into New Order - 20 Years of New Order.
Quite a good mix of tracks.
I'll say Dream Attack, though I could go with any song from Technique that's not on a compilation.
Bizarre Love Triangle. I can't believe they stopped playing this after only four performances, and they never bothered to remix it, even though it was so remix worthy. You wonder what could have been sometimes...
Man, by the way, I'm so sick of hearing Vanishing Point live. Couldn't they do anything new with the arrangement?
I've been putting together a NO-based sleep mix, and this is the sort of stuff I'd like on a compilation for people who doubt the chillitude of NO.

Obviously, this list in not in a nice order. I think a "New Order, Laid Back" compilation could be quite nice.

Sorry, I forgot about Retro. Still, Substance, International, and Singles have the same songs over and over again.

Yet another comp I never heard of. Who was it that dissed the Cure for having too many greatests hits lps?
I'm less interested in paying to hear songs I already own in a sequence determined by some record company jobsworth - i can arrange my own playlist thanks to the magic of modern technology, thanks for asking - than I am in hearing the hundreds of tracks that have appeared either in limited quantities, on obsure releases or on white labels.
A quick scout of itunes reveals I have just shy of 330 New Order songs, including a good 50 that are live tracks downloaded either from this site or some of the others connected to it.*
This, of course, is nothing. Some kind Noolers (naming no names) who have emailed me with tracks from their extensive collections (thank you all yet again) that number well into the 500s and possibly beyond, excluding bootlegged live numbers. Which means, despite owning all of the albums and most of the singles in one form or another, I own perhaps only half of New Order's output.
I'm getting more all the time and enjoying the weird and wonderful ephemera out there but surely a round-up of the best of this hard-to-find stuff would please the fans more than hearing the original version of Blue Monday... yet again? Despite the lukewarm reception that the Rest Of received?
*I also have approximately 30 tunes - remixes, b-sides and full-length versions for the most part - on vinyl that have never made it to CD and haven't got round to digitising yet. Yeah, I'm lazy.

You mean you can buy NO live tracks on itunes? Ive only ever got mine from Soulseek, Limewire or courtesy of kind donators.

Sorry - should have explained that I've ripped 280 tunes from my own CDs and supplmented that wil 50 tunes either downloaded from here or sent to me by fellow Nool posters. I've not downloaded any live tunes from the itunes music store - only a few of the remixes and WFTSC 7" b-sides.
Compilations are shite - see 50 best albums/songs threads on BCD - in this day age, make your own compilations - rip to CD, playlist on MP3, on your phone, on a tape, 8 track... And with a band like NO with so many different remizes/edits, etc. everyone's gonna argue over the definitive line up of a comp, even if it is something with such a clear premise as Singles...
