Barney's failure to enunciate

I was listening to Technique this morning and in particular Mr. Disco. Now if I have my info correct he is supposed to be saying "Ibiza, Majorca, and Benidorm too, I searched all those places and never found you" but I'll be damned if that's what I hear. I hear "We beacha, We yoga, and Benidorm too". It kinda reminds me of the "Where's my stapler?" guy from the movie Office Space.

Plus, if you're really looking for someone shouldn't you search more places? Not that those would be bad to places in which to search for someone. But he could have tried a little harder, no?

As this is off the infamous drug fuelled "Ibiza" Technique it would be interesting to see what other songs can be related to the partying, sun an excess drug taking off this album.

I guess Fine Time can ;) any others ?

tell me more about the drugs. i never knew this to be a drug fuelled album.....

another question: what does bernard say in thieves like us after he says "love is the cure for every evil?" the best that i could figure out was "love is the ads were putz the eagle its called love."

Janaki, I also thought it was "id/ego" until I read the lyrics "air/eagle" and listened again. After thinking about it, "id/ego" is a little too advanced for Bernard to write so it must be the air/eagle.

also, I really, although I am a huge fan did not know of the drug use during Technique. What drugs did they do?

'kay. relistening to "Thieves Like Us" right now. and i agree with the air/eagle bit. i think that's what it's got to be, now.

though Liv, i actually was amused by the arithmetic bit. i didn't think it brilliant, no...but i did think it amusing. :D

doesnt't barney say something like "the deeper you go the sweeter the pain dont give up the game until yr heart stops beating" during the chorus of shellshock (ive listened to the song maybe twice in my life)? i would say that this is his most pathetic moment.

I love Barney, and chose not to defend every "slagging~" he gets, id be here all night if i had to.... but i do love him he's not pathetic at all...

You're right and not because I'm listening to it but because it's writeen this way in the New Order Song Book. Although, you never know because the official releases have not got too much credit, has it?
