I don't know why, sometimes I think only a small portion of the members are into this, while it was meant to be a general thing for everybody.
So, do you plan to listen to the songs and vote?

I'd be even more interested if I could figure out how to get the frigging podcasts to work...

try, if you have iTunes, or another podCast grabbing program open it . Advanced./ along the top heading bar / in grey w/ black print.
Subscribe to podCast. type in http://neworderonline.com/Radio/PodCast.aspx. / OK. Wen Order and Spotnick have the set up all listed w/ NOOL Radio on the Community 2 thread..
don't necessarily need the iTunes or other system if you just want the covers.
Have mostly just stayed with the the Community 2 seperate site and Windows Media to listen to individual songs. w/much fwd. and back clicking between songs. Some good tunes there, very nice because so often covers don't tend to work out.
Yeh man!
Its great listening to fan covers. Some of them are absolute class. I've even made myself a nice little spreadsheet to keep track of who I'll vote for :)

You can talk to me on MSN, with a remote assistance request I can set that up for you ;)
I've said Yes but, in truth, I've only really taken notice of the people I know in the competition itself. I think my Community points reflect that. But at least that's taking some sort of interest. No soundcard at work so that kinda kills the opportunity to listen to too much stuff anyways.
For people, like Jeff, who don't know how to subscribe to NewOrderOnline Radio, here's a link that will help you:

same here.. I'll try with those tips listed above. I figured everybody else was talking about that coozie girl.
it's interesting to hear how people have interpreted new order and joy division. so yeah, i'm up for it.
Maybe explaining the rules (again) out of the Community 2 forum would help…
of course if you could create an accessible and visible link to reach the right page to listen and vote…

I'm a bit indifferent to tell the truth... probably because there are so many covers of NO/JD stuff around... I had a bit of trouble accessing the listen / vote pages and with time being tight I sort of threw in the towel...
Good luck to everyone taking part though- It's certainly a worthwhile exercise for the community as a whole!
Definitely - have voted for all the face-offs and fully intend to vote in the final round, although I have been having problems getting the tracks to play from the community 2 site recently - any ideas?

Yeah, I am, so how come I haven't got the mp3 of The Village so I can do a video?
I sent the agreements back, or at least I think I did!
It ain't easy, working out the paperwork, that's for sure!
Yes I am. But as I have been off a few days and that the competition went on, I had much less excitement to carry on voting (too many gaps in my vote colonne - I like to do things from A to Z)...
yes, definitely. I managed a marathon round of listening today (nice day off work) and came up with 20 favourites. If my NO cup voting is anything to go by, none of them will of course make the shortlist ![]()
I'm definitely interested in it, unfortunately my works computer has no sound card, and my home computer is painfully slow. I will try to make the effort though. Heard a few contributions already that somebody kindly burned onto a cd for me and i was very impressed.
So, in a nutshell, the girl from Del Horwich - SHE SAY YES!

It would be a lot better if I had a fucking sound card at work though!
I will get round to placing my final votes when I can find the time. I have been impressed by several of the songs, and even though Barney Army is a twat, his song is probably my favourite :D When I get round to my votes I will also make sure I leave some comments on the songs.
I havnae a scooby what a podcast is cos I'm too feckin busy at the moment. Needless to say, if I win something can some bastard please let me know. ![]()
Excuse the language, but I am actually earning my money at work fer a change ![]()

Karine (I'll say it in english first), the rule is easy, you pick 20, you can change them up to May 19th... there is one big page where you can listen to all 68 tracks on the same page at
http://community.neworderonline.com/Competition/FinalRound.aspx
That's all you need to know...!

Let me check that tonight... WenOrder is so busy these days it's complicated to have a minute to check his faxes ;)
If it was sent by email, then it's my fault.

et puis la page pour voter est vraiment difficile d'accès sans blague.

I have the same problem, i can't listen at work and i'd be on all night if I tried on the home PC. Would, otherwise, have loved to hear some of the efforts ![]()
Seems those NOT interested in this can't be bothered to VOTE here aswell. So no change there then!![]()

Et il faudrait quoi pour qu'elle soit plus accessible pour toi? Sérieusement?
Tu n'as qu'un clique partout sur le site... j'aimerais savoir!
Si je peux régler ça, ça va me faire plaisir.

Sent em by e-mail, mate! Thanks for checking.
Er, I did say I sort-of had an interest in Community (or at least mates who are involved) but do we really need to have pictures of everyone involved at the top of the forums now. That sort of takes away our choice of whether we wanna take an interest and kinda rams it down our throats a bit, no?
Forums like Ceremony are picking up again cos we've got Barca, Liverpool, etc, all coming up now, and then you go there and get pics of, well, entirely different bands.
I presume this is only a temporary measure but it does strike me as a bit In Yer Face.

Ditto!
I understand the need to keep Community2 at the top of the agenda, but the saturation coverage of contestant photos seems a bit OTT.
I thought it was a good idea till I was trying to read a thread while staring up my own ugly nose. But it's only for a coupla weeks.
Maybe it would be better to splice these random images into the New Order ones so we get a mix?
Or better still not have these totally unprofessional cheesy mugshots that most people have submitted as their Community picture, and keep the rotating images to real images of New Order etc, not Tom Dick and Harry. Spike Jonze it ain't. Nearly spat my tea out this morning when I saw me looking at me from the top of the page. ![]()

At least yours isn;t a fucking bugle-cam shot ;)

But how come I've got 54, when I couldn't vote for Pundit twice, and I can't vote for Digital? I should only have 53 by that reckoning, but I am showing as 54. Strange.

Forget everything I said earlier!
I also think that Community 2 photos in the banner for the main NOOL site are a bit much. I understand it needs to be promoted but I personally would rather the New Order images returned. New members signing up in the wake of these recently announced gigs will have no clue who these people are and might not understand the context.
They're appropriate on the Community 2 mini-site obviously but as has been pointed out it is a bit like ramming it down our throats on the main NOOL pages.
Personally speaking, I haven't voted in (either) Community and I'm not interested in cover versions but I hope it becomes a NOOL success for those who have put effort in. I know (from MSN) how much work Nic and WenOrder have put into it all so for their sake I really hope it works out well.
Okokok... this was really temporary.
I'll tell you want, I'll do that only in the last week, is that ok for everybody then? :p
Or I will mix it with NewOrder and put just ONE banner to promote Community 2.
I would be if I had a net connection I could listen to things on, rather than one in a library with no kind of music playing software installed or allowed. Still waiting for free home broadband. Surely won't be long now?
Not at all interested. Have more things to do than listen to covers of New Order/JD. I find it hard enough getting time to listen to the real thing.
*Cue disco related jokes*

I am interested of course and will vote over the next couple of weeks. The last cd was quality IMO. It was just lack of time I didn't vote much in the face offs. But what I did hear was impressive. Well done to all.![]()

have to agree with all those moaning about it. it is a bit much ..

I don't think that's funny at all. In fact Twist is very right here, sadly.
If it weren’t for the podcasts, I wouldn't care. They have helped a lot. Even if I'm starting to have trouble to find time to listen to them everyday. But I'm sure I will catch up before it ends.
But the Banners need to go.
Community is a nice project to fill the gap between new order breaks, But as soon as the next gigs start, I want to focus on that.
The voting will be done before the next gig... and the way it's going, the video/remix/sleeve too.
Which was the point really...
Now Karine I really hope it's evident.
Is that clear enough? ;)
I care about the competition. I've been off and away for a bit, and I am on dial up internet which makes any sort of voting take ages just to hear the songs in question. I had to do the same thing for Comm 1 though, but I admit somehow the format for acquiring the sample songs seemed easier (in my mind's recollection, anyway).

Any news on the whereabouts of my returned agreements - I've shot the vid and done a rough cut to NOs version of the track, but can't do anymore til I get Pottsy's mp3 and time's getting short!

You don't need community points to vote.
They were awarded every time you voted in the face offs. So it looks like you didn't vote in the face off at all.
Speaking as someone who entered a song it would be really great if the majority of voters were the general community members and not just the entrants. I think the entrants listen to the other songs in a different way to everyone else: is it better than mine? is there anything wrong with the production etc etc rather than just listening to them on their own merits as songs.
Or maybe its just me ![]()

Doh......Community Points are numbers of times you have voted! Tootle along there now and vote for Digital, and you will see that you magically have one Community Point! Then do the same for Barney Army, and maybe even a couple of others as well...... ![]()
