So what's the massive Finsbury Park gig about?"A Manchester extravaganza. It's the only gig we're doing in England this year and the idea is to get all the Manchester bands on with us that we think are current. We've got up and coming Manchester bands like Hanky Park and older bands like The Doves and are trying to get Badly Drawn Boy aboard."

Can this be true?! :jump:

Doves are my fave band after New Order!!! :D :D

I am sooooo happy if they are playing it too !!! :) :jump: :jump:

Major, I agree soooo much! The Doves will make a quality day even better. Seen them twice, two years running at Glasto. My highlight being when they played "Catch the Sun" at 11 a.m. on the 'Other' stage and it was a scorcher. :shine: :shine: First time they'd played it live I think. Ooh just reminising there.

Bring it on!!! :drummer:

Super Furry Animals have apparently been added to the bill.

I am SO underwhelmed.

I'm starting to go off this Finsbury Park lark. I ain't standing in a park all day to listen to shite until the Bunnymen and the Order come on.

Doves are fantastic. They are better than Fresh Air and Super Furry animal lovers that's for sure. I saw SFA at Leeds 2000... never been so bored in all my life.

Why don't you go later in the afternoon then?

I will be. Knowing my luck though, the Bunnymen will be on early. Whatever happens, I will be at the back now I guess !

Im with you on that one! I hold little more than a passing interest for anyone else on the bill...

Looks like were in for an afternoon of boredom induced drinking followed by a carefully orchestrated and perfectly timed move to the front in good time for the 'Order's set !! :)

But what else would you be doing on a Sunday anyway?...sitting in a park getting pissed?...sounds like fun to me even though the groups aren't particuarly my taste.
