i suppose this gets asked every day, but are NO going to tour more of the U.S. in the future? I couldn't go last summer (kicking myself daily for it) and wonder if there are rumours i might be able to get another chance.
american tour?

David, I haven't heard any rumours about an American tour and I don't think anyone else who frequents the board has either ... But cross your fingers and hope for the best ... Might have to wait until they release another album ... Thats if they do !!
No chance, they hate America more than they hate Crawling Chaos. America didn't provide a bra for Barney to wear on stage last year, and the resultant press photos cost them 2 (two) sales of Crystal.
I had a quick snook at one of the other New Order message boards and was startled to read that they'll be touring America with U2 later in the year. (or then again, it may be just another April fools joke, heh heh)

much as i'd like to see them, i really do hope you (or whatever you reference) is joking, Hubert.
cos aside from the fact that i have no desire whatsoever to see U2 (or give them any of my money), i *really* don't fancy the idea of how much tickets would be if that's the case.
argh...they would be such TEASES! ![]()
I thought that NO had said in Australia that they were definitely NOT touring the U.S. Anyone else remember that?

In Australia, they said they definitely wouldn't be doing the US in APRIL. As they had some provisional dates pencilled in for then. Doesn't mean to say they're not gonna do it ever.
Well, all I can say is that if this thread has caused you to have a sense of humour failure and harbour a grudge ever since, I'm glad you took offence, your holiness.
Ah yes, my first post.
Actually, Tim, I was more confounded than anything by your original response, and as I didn't have the proper frame of reference to appreciate your piss-take, I was a bit peeved.
Now if only someone could dredge up my "where's gillian?" thread (i think that was even the title), that would be worth a look. I've searched for it myself, but to no avail.

That's probably because I got a bunch of bum answers the first two times.
I dont think anybody has the heart to tell the Americans NO cant be arsed with the new border controls, they're doin the Maracena stadium for seven nights instead:D

That would be an interesting attitude for them to take, considering so many americans can be "arsed" to by their records, often at inflated import prices.
Is this information real? or is it just a reflection of your personal opinion of america's new border controls. I agree that some of the travel issues are a pain in the ass. Almost as much as people flying planes into your buildings.

I very much suspect that it was a rather tongue-in-cheek comment.

Almost as much as people flying planes into your buildings. I visit your country at least six times per year on both business and pleasure trips, I personaly could'nt give a fuck if the border control process took a day, so save the sanctimonious shit for some clown who has never even left their own country. Remember on 9/11 not all victims were American, they included a colleague and friend of my wifes .. she was English, she loved New York and had a sense of humour that ran the whole gamut from sarcasm/irony to the obligatory fart joke. So if you can relax and keep the faith ,we may just forgive what Spielberg and his Hollywood budget did to our very British institution, Dr Who :D By the way, if you note a smiley in one of my posts , it usualy means my tongue is very firmly in my cheek :D;) However at this moment I am very serious Ta Ta , Gary Mac
why are Americans buying stuff at "import" prices???
do they not know about ordering direct from the UK???
They do now Jeff :)
NB: Ghost fella, the use of Smiley here is ?
Thats right, friendly, cordial, amicable, 'hail fellow well met', that kinda thing. Toodle pip

"Sambadrome" is what I think it is?
I have it on my list of things to see before I die Andrei, however my wife has a list of chores I need to do before she dies.... So I may be sometime yet
ah, well my lack of use of smileys went a long way towards my being misunderstood. My toungue was firmly in cheek as well. Smiley a guarantee next time, sorry.
As regards the good doctor, I've been a card carrying fan for 21 years. I'm as much of a nerd as you are likely to find, at least where things gallifreyan are concerned. As I understand it, the worst part of the "american telemovie with the pertwee logo" was the script, which was british. Spielberg and co. are responsible for the sfx and "look" of the film. Regardless, anyone, regardless of national origin, who would make the doctor half human is an inept moron. He did just fine as a 100% alien for many years, I thought.
Spielberg is to blame, at the very least, for making the movie too slick. The doctors adventures just aren't the same when the monsters are not made from bubble wrap and the sets don't wobble. I was watching "full circle" yesterday with my 4 year old son... His mother (my lovely wife) is seriously considering a divorce! she hasn't been this mad since I named the new cat davros!

That's what I've been doing for years...screw that "IMPORT" label in Sam Goody or Tower!!
That's just insane to pay that much!!
the reference to people paying import prices was an attempt (a feeble one, admittedly...) at making a "dumb american" joke, it was all part of the toungue in cheek idea, which went horribly, horribly awry. Give me a break, I'd only had 2 cups of coffee when I wrote it.

I hope you're not upsetting people again there Tim.
