Simm plays Barney and sings the song. I'm his fan. He was very good in Wonderland, a Winterbottom's film. But I think he is not handsome as Barney was Simm's age.;) Simm and Barney look quite differnt,don't they? I think winterbottom casted the right actor for the part of Barney,but Simm is more similar to Thom York than to Barney.:D

There's also a snippet of Moby/NewOrder playing "New Dawn Fades". Sounds a bit strange...is Stephen Morris drumming there? Does not really sound like him...

It's a bit annoying though as they've spelt Martin's name wrong. Hope they correct that on the DVD release.

The actors have got the band's mannerisms pretty much spot on,especially Hooky and Ian Curtis. Try watching the video frame by frame.
...hm...i just asked myself what's up with Stephen Morris ?!?!? He was never mentioned in relationship to the movie....everyone spoke of the actor's playing Bernard, Hooky and Ian...but what's with Stephen ??? Isn't he also a part of the "story" ???

I might be wrong, but i swear i don't think so... this is the BEST NEW ORDER VIDEO I have ever seen. It's incredibly brilliant!!! Wonderful black and white cinematography and vivid images -- looks like Ian spitting on the crowd. Plaintive, earnest, in your face tune with great video!!! I only hope more is coming like this.

AFTER A FEW COMPUTER PROBLEMS..I HAVE TRACKED DOWN THE VIDEO AND THE SONG...FULL MARKS FOR BOTH...THE SONG IS THE BEST THING THEY HAVE RELEASED FOR AGES...VERY VERY ADDICTIVE!!!

I think it's because the part of Stephen is not important in the movie. You know, he is important man of the band. But it's just a movie...Also, it's seems that only Bernard's part is main role in the movie. I found out that only John Simm's name is on poster but other actors who played remain JD/NO members (also other Factory band) are not. Anyway, Sean Harris mentioned that Tim Horrocks, a 18 years old actor played Stephen and JD is his favorite band. Intersting.

Actually, it is quite good, although I don't know that I would call it the best NO video ever. Is this guy with the camera part of the movie, or is that just the video?

Have we seen the same video? What's the big deal about it? I mean, it's kind of okay... But it's not original AT ALL! But there are only clips from 24 Hours Party People and some kind of story with a photographer. What's so good about it? There are a thousand videos in black and white and that does not make them good. In my opinion, "60 mph" is a much better video. At least the concept is much more original, something in between a short film and a typical music video. But "Here To Stay" is like ... whatever.

The three you mentioned are all wonderful in different ways. I thought the visuals for BLT actually did represent the song quite well. Obviously PK video represented the performance of the song by the band. The True Faith video was charming and funny, portraying the kind of childishness the song refers to.
By comparison, the 60 mph video was just nothing, absolutely nothing.

the guy who plays peter hook really doesn't look like him. they found a pretty good look a like for ian though...

Well. Hooky loves it..... but not Barney, though.....as seen on Aussie TV Rage program...
So what if he doesn't look like Hooky?
Do the actors have to LOOK like who they are playing?
The funny thing is that this actors works with Hooky's ex-wife if I read correctly the interview...
