Thought Bernard was a big fan, may just have confused it with his Chic thing. Lad I know is a big fan of both Chic and Kool and The Gang, so I always kind of group them together.

Probably not much in it but W-KOOL Summer has a similar detuned radio intro as I Told You So and State Of The Earth/The Weight has pretty much the exact same heartbeat intro as Guilt...

Have Kool and the Gang made a new album since 2005? Well then.
Yeah - the very same band.
My sister Louise is a huge Kool & the Gang nut - she loved all their seminal early jazz funk stuff before they changed into that massively successful disco hit machine around the late 70s. She even swears that they invented the first use of the phrase "boogie" in their song titles that every other disco jobber and their dog latched onto and overused to cliched effect from the mid70s onwards. "Boogie! Boogie! Do you wanna boogie! Get down and Boogie!" :p
