Was Turn ever released as a single in the UK

I know it's listed in the discography here as being released back in February but there seemed to be some confusion at the time as to whether it would come out in the UK. I certainly didn't receive the usual notification of formats etc.

Anyone shed any light on this?

Cheers.

Can anyone confirm if this is still coming out. It's been over a year now since the LP was released. Kind of late for them to still be releasing a single off of it.

It's not so much that I am looking for a new single by the group. It's just going to be rather pathetic if it ends up never being released, put still having placement on the "Singles" compilation. Especially since the group skipped over legitimate singles like True Faith 94, Blue Monday 95, and Someone Like You on said compilation.

Although it should be noted TF '94 is almost identical to the original '87 version.

I hate to say this, but it's been delayed for so long I doubt it's ever being released.

I agree with this, it's not looking good and the chance to release it seems to have come and gone. I personally think they quietly replaced Turn with the 12x12" campaign.

I agree, its safe to say turn is cancelled.

The fact we`ve not seen any artwork or cd-r of remixes, shows its highly unlikely now. Whats the point now anyway-singles are really only to promote an album nowdays, and Both WFTSC and Singles have been and gone.

Pity they didn`t release the 12x12 remixes as an album though,a la The Rest Of.

I don't think we'll ever see it either; although it'll be good 'why is turn on singles when it never was' thread fodder for years to come!

sad but true. Another "almost" release

The artwork does exist, promos does exist but must be pretty rare, I doubt they went outside the walls of London Records...

But, it's been postponed to later, probably due to the 12x12" campaign... a video exists for it, as well as the b-side.

Gee, just be patient, if it's not going to be released, I'm pretty sure they would release it on iTunes, but they never said it was cancelled. Have a little faith.

But now I have to get more information about that World In Motion 2006.

Of course to many of us, being released on iTunes is the same thing as not being released. Oh well, whatever happens happens.

Yup, and the most stupid thing with iTunes is that there are different releases on different country's iTunes, e.g:

UK iTunes:

  • You CAN download the WFTSC 7" singles and b-sides
  • You CAN'T download the Guilt Is A Useless Emotion mixes

US iTunes:

  • You CAN'T download the WFTSC 7" singles and b-sides
  • You CAN download the Guilt Is A Useless Emotion mixes

Absolutely pathetic - I know it's to do with different countries deciding to release different singles/albums, but you can BUY a physical CD from another country...

So, piracy continues...

I'm still fuming about not being able to buy the Guilt mixes on UK I-Choons!
