On the subject of Wolves; racing saturday night!!!! and Monday afternoon! What better way is there of curing a Sunday night uplift than to lose what's left of your money cheering for a donkey on a Monday afternoon? Beats working anyway.![]()

Would be doing European jaunts again if I hadn't jacked in my relatively well-paid job in a girly strop.

Creditcard has taken a hammering but i will be getting some money from Standard Life's (hopefully, fingers crossed) floatation in the summer so that's buffered it

Do that in Glasgow and you'll be out on your ear! The smoking ban is in full effect in all public places including venues, pubs, restaurants etc. Security walked on stage during The Streets at The Academy and told the keyboard player to stub it out the second he lit up. Also saw a couple of folk strong-armed out the door at the same gig for the same offence.
On the whole though it's been impeccably observed in most places and all the scare stories about how it would kill the licensed trade have proved to be bollocks. Most places are reporting an increase in business.

Yup, was only jesting - there's no way I'd light up in Glasgow, London or Wolves) - will have to make full use of pre-venue meet-up and wait until the end (and, besides, I'll have to get used to it in England - smoking ban comes into effect in 2007! :)
BTW, Grahame, are you still trying to source a Wednesday Glasgow floor standing ticket? I managed to source a spare one if your're still looking?
