Went to the Boardwalk in Manchester to see Happy Mondays and I was stood one person away from Barney at the bar with my version of said hairdo!!! I felt a right dick

I think this was from Rolling Stone. Electronic were featured as models in a fashion story. I remember it was quite bling - standing around a Mercedes and just generally looking 'posh' as you say. This was ages before the 'bling' era, so at the time for an indie band to do it was really different and 'edgy'.

no, I hope the fur's not real too. This picture was from 1990/1991. I had it in a photoframe on a bookshelf back then but after the two of us moved to this house it had "suddenly dissapeared" somehow. (jealousy, eh?)

Found it back though. Underneath the picture it has 2 questions: Significance of object and Bernard replies: "My fake rolex - it's one of those useless pieces of junk you buy at an airport when you're bored out of your skull. It reminds me to spend more time in Manchester". What has 1990 been like for you? And the reply is: "Very, very nice!'".
