So called response from Radio 1:
Q: Gaz attack says:Could you make your daytime music as exciting and varied as the great music that is played post 8pm every night? This would make Radio 1 the best station in the world! Oh, and please add the new single Here to stay by New Order to your playlist. New Order are one of the greatest bands Britain has produced and are still going strong. I like some of the Drum + Bass songs your playing at the moment, very catchy and much better than the commercial trance invasion of the past few years. That Peshay tune is lodged right in my head!A: RADIO 1 Music Team (arseholes):moon::8pm is when Radio 1's specialist output starts. Our specialist shows are world renowned for being first to play new, disctinctive, exciting, young music. With the daytime playlist, we're able to select tracks from across the specialist shows and bring them to a wider audience, hence on daytime Radio 1 you'll hear sometimes very challenging tracks, which have been championed by our specialists, as well as the familiar hits.Radio 1 has a playlist of 55 records - this obviously means that some individuals favourite acts do miss out getting on the playlist. However, if a track isn't on the playlist, that doesn't mean it won't get played on Radio 1. All our specialist shows have their own playlists & several of our daytime shows have freeplays.
Well done to this Gaz bloke for trying though.
