Not a good thing to do really with feeling a bit tender after last night, but whilst in the paper shop thought I'd buy NME. Having a little look through it and  I see this:

New Order - Here to Stay

"You'd have thought, given a proposition as drearily 1996 as The Chemical Brothers producing New Order, that someone, somewhere would have pulled their creative finger out, but 'Will This Do?' from the 24 Hour Party People soundtrack is everything you feared about New Order reuniting. After the fleetingly sensational, 'Get Ready' this is New Order by numbers as synths hum gothically, guitars rattle like they've been strung too tight and faux syn-drums, er, fill. 'Here to Stay' comes and goes without you noticing, no matter how hard you concentrate. So, hey, a boon for road safety if it gets a lot of radio play and very, very bad for New Order if it's a sign of the half-hearted things to come. (TN)"

:nonono: Tony Naylor, you are indeed a gimp.

Had I read the news page I could have saved myself £1.30 - Fool! :o :moose:

It's OK Cheeky, did we really expect the NME to give a positive review of anything NO-related? NO have passed the first single stage, and as such were deemed 'shit' by these experts long ago. Best leave the NME for the callow, short-attention-spanning youth and failed musicians who read and write this shite. Md

Are we talking about the "CampaignTechnique" notepaper here?? I have a handwritten letter from one Peter Hook on said paper: I send the bearded bastard an epic 8-page letter explaing just why the fuckers ought to play live again (this is circa 1990), and he writes back to say:

"Martin,

Stay dissilusioned!! 'Cos we ain't gonna play no gigs for a long time.

Sorry Mate!!

Yours,

P.Hook"

The guy is a star. No bids, cheers: this is my most treasured possession.
