yea --thats why I'm having my joy division tribute night tonite.

Fans who really know enough about him know that he was really a funny guy who, up until his last days, had a great life and a happy life and who was alot of fun.

Hard to picture him as a fifty-year-old ex-punk, seems like all the leading lights of punk and post-punk burn out before then (3/4ths of the Ramones, Joe Strummer, Sid Vicious, Ian, etc). Hopefully Control will be a fitting rememberance of things past.

A great way to honor Ian's birthday is to make a donation to the Epilepsy Research Foundation.
