Don't you think Reprise Records is aiming high at delaying the album for 2 months?

I do think they will do major promotion of the album, because by delaying it, they ensure the fan base will buy the importation from the UK.. so the record sales of the album would drop consequently.

Well, with New Order touring in early 2002, this means that I'm pretty sure Turn My Way will be the 3rd single off the album, and will be released in December or so... (of course, the edit will start with Billy's voice, not that instrumental intro)...

I wouldn't be surprise to see them tour with Billy Corgan.. from what I heard, he's working on solo stuff? who knows..

Anyway, this is just thinking out loud.. we sure don't know what's in Reprise Records's heads these days.

They must have a plan.. otherwise, it would be stupid.. even in filling the album with extra tracks and multimedia stuff, I'm not sure everybody will buy it a second time for that!

they know that fools like me will be ordering the UK version (it wasn't in the mail today...so much for overnight) and the US version...they are in a fricking money making scam with London Records...and British Airways, and whatever the name of that hotel by Waterloo Station that I am staying at... soon they will be coming to take me away...but what the hell...it's worth it...

I was wondering why they are waiting 2 MONTHS to release the album here. It is true, for a lot of NewOrder fans it is just too long to wait. Most of them will just go online and get the UK version, you are right Nicolas.

Personally I will get the UK version as well as the US version, but unfortunately there are not all NO fans are the same.

I am very curious to see how the sales are though, I think it still might do good since there will be a couple extra tracks.... we shall see!

Yeah, I will probably end up with the french release of Get Ready, a co-worker of mine is in France right now, and well, if I can save the shipping, it will be most likely the same price as the domestic release.

So I do hope the canadian/US edition will have LOTS of new stuff because otherwise, I don't see the point of buying it in double...!

I just got the Japanese import today, listening right now. Primitive Notion rocks!

FYI for those US fans looking to import, the Japanese version contains "Behind Closed Doors" as a bonus track. The CD case and booklet text is all in english and looks identical to the pics of the UK version, with the exception of "Behind Closed Doors" and "bonus track for Japan" printed right after it. It also contains an inserted lyrics booklet, in Japanese and English. Kinda cool since New Order doesn't put their lyrics in their normal CD booklets.

I wonder if they will add BCD to the US version...
