there are reports on it further down all good. ask me in about two weeks. i should have mine then. ![]()
see page three of this board.
It's superb. Sat and watched it through in one go yesterday arvo. Not the sort of thing you'll return to, and it does suffer perhaps from lack of muzak and footage, but it's rivetting stuff nonetheless.
I love it. It answered a lot of questions I had about the early Factory days, and I was surprised at some of the interviews they managed to capture (like Annik).

yes if you understand english without subtitles and if your tv/dvd player are ok with NTSC standard...
This is my favorite purchase of this year so far. Lots of great stories. The Cassidy brothers really are a couple of arrogant bastards. Annik is still beautiful in her 50s. Hooky is a slave to rock. Vini Reilly still doesn't smile. And Saville is a good sport about the lateness thing, which is sort of a running gag.
Ok I knew I would do it.... I did my order to Sister Ray... Can't wait to get it! I didn't expect it to be so appreciated. Thanks for your suggestions!

The cheapest store is LTM but Sister Ray is my favorite in UK so I gave him the preference, you know :)

Can I borrow it then?
Have you got the Alcohol Years, by Carol Morley? Much the same thing, by the sounds of it.

It's on my 'amazon rental list'. Er, at about no.46.
I've seen it a few times, it gets repeated on C4 in the wee small hours once every six months or so.
I was wondering about the following quote below:
"3. FACTORY FOREMEN -Five heterosexual directors: Tony Wilson, Alan Erasmus, Peter Saville, Rob Gretton and Martin Hannett"
Ordered it so will find out when it arrives in a few days.
Sorry to ressurect this thread, but I watched it yesterday and thought it was great. it wasnt until it had finished that i realized they did not have any live footage in it at all(wich is what i was hoping for) but that didnt matter at all it was just a great look inside the glory years of Factory complete with contradictory reports, conflicting opinions ans some great storytelling.
Agree with El Jarvo,spot on.Essential if you're a 'Factory-ite',not just a J.D./N.O. fan.£14 well spent,very insightful & informative,plus..... you get Annik

Just order it straight from the LTM site.
Send a covering letter and a cheque payable to James Nice.
I got mine, along with a couple of Factory reissues within a few days. ![]()

Tony Wilson describes them as five heterosexual men who were very much in love with each other...you know, the typical Wilson hyperbole. ;)
