Its a Red Mercedes 280SL it was his own car at the time. He used to go for long drives round the yorkshire dales blasting out his electronic demo tracks apparently!
Dunno what he drives now, but i assume the car in the Prozac documentary on his drive was his... - it looked like an aston martin??

My housemate, who had previously said that Barney had a 'play-doh face' fancies him in the WIM vid too. I also remember a few Shazzas I was at school with at the time it came out thought he was a bit of alright too (bit of a change from New Kids On The Block!)....myself, I think he looks lovely in all of them ;)

awww...Gillian is quite lovely, and especially in the Perfect Kiss vid. admittedly, she did have some scary hair at points, but i think she's an alright looking girl on the whole.
as for the lads, Barney's tops for me, too. though i must say Stephen's by far aged the best out of all of the boys. ^^

Bernard Sumner is a gift to all women. I have been quite unashamedly in love with that man since i was 12. There is someting about the combination of the cheeky smile, those big eyes, the "lost" look and the Salfordian accent. He has improved with age, like a fine wine... *sigh* He has no equal in my affections. (Simon Le Bon, Jacques Villeneuve and Adam Ant run reasonably close seconds though!)(ok i'll stop now!!)
Steve looks better now than he has ever done, but there is still the issue of his chin... not meaning to be personal, but i always think it would get in the way, so to speak!

as for Jacques and Dannii...i had known they split (whee, Formula One obsession...^^;;; shared with my boy as well; we've a happy house full of music, F1, and anime... ) , but i wondered if there were perhaps residual traces of her that might linger? although...perhaps that's silly of me. wasn't part of the problem with them that Jacques ended up paying more attention to his Playstation and his driving simulators than he was to Dannii....?

i don't care. though technically i'm heterosexual and male, i have always had a bit of a crush on 79-81 era barney. i would always look for girls who had glassy, mismatched eyes and hair falling slightly over one eye. no such luck. i like stephen's facial expressions when he is playing drums. gillian is a total badass, and i would be honored to sleep with her. i love hooky as well, but he is far too masculine to be sexy.

we are not miserable, we just like miserable music! (well at least i do.) but i do agree, the members of new order are very unlikely people to lust over (at least to outsiders...outsiders can't even remember what they'd look like) um, i don't own low life, but i think i would stick somebody other than steve on the cover, cuz variety is a good thing. :)

If you guys want to see some really cute pictures of Barney check out the Joy Division section of that newwavephotos.com web site. It was those pictures that made me go all gushy over him and print them to stick on my binders at school.
Nobody knows who he is and they all have pictures of Jay-Z up in their lockers.
And as for people feeling weird that they like Barney & Co., as a supposed former infatuation junkie of almost exclusively people from bands like New Order, in my opinion it's better and healthier to like "real" people like them rather than airbrushed, pre packaged pop star types, a la Britney and Justin. 
i started off fancying barney when i first saw the 'true faith' video, but then transferred my affections to steve for a bit. however, i was never really enamoured with either of them...until recently. for some reason for the past year or so my attention has been solely focused on barney once again (although steve is still rather cute, isn't he?:D), and in a big way. it's that boyish face, those big eyes. *sigh*...he's up there with spike from 'buffy the vampire slayer'. ooh! i feel all of 13 again! oh, and sorry, hooky, but you're just not my type.

Hmmmm, first time I saw the Perfect Kiss video, back in the summer of '90 I took one look at Barney and though, "Sh!t, I should fix my hair up like that." Best decision I ever made, no more mop top, just closely cropped and shaved in the back and on the sides. Much nicer. Though I don't dig men, I suppose that speaks to what I thought of Barney in that era, really he looked quite handsome in the eighties (with JD he just looked rather dull to me, sweet, but dull). Hooky always looked like some angry pirate, the type of guy I imagine women like my brother's girlfriend would dig. Stephen I was always ambivalent about, he looked like a nice guy, but certainly not hunky in any particular way.
Gillian never struck me as hot, but she often looked attractive, and kind, and even though she (and the rest of the band) seemingly hit the wall in the nineties, just listening to her in the Neworderstory interviews left me completely charmed with her. She came across as good humored, sweet, soft spoken, and obviously strong enough to hold her own in an all male kick arse band in an era where mod bands, and bands in general were strictly male, or strictly female, and rarely mixed. She was definitely the kind of woman I'd be attracted to in the eighties and the personality I'd find attractive in the nineties.
There are some great colour photos of Gillian in Dreams Never End. I think they are during the mid to late 80's period. I must say she does have her moments.
I'm sory, but, being heterosexual, I can' accurately evaluate sexiness of women. I can just guess. As for the boys in the band, if I were a man I would like to be Hooky. If I needed someone to fix my computer I would call Steve. And as for Bernard, he's the sexiest man alive.
