Not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm not sure where else I might get an answer for this...

I just took possession of Section 25's From the Hip LP (Fact90, produced by Be Music, sleeve by Pater Saville).

It's got the following on the spine:

SIDE 8411 ... SECTION 25 "FROM THE HIP" ... A FACTORY COMMUNICATIONS L.T.D./ANOTHER SIDE PRODUCT (P)1984 PRINTED & MANUFACTURED IN BELGIUM

The top left of the outer sleeve also says "SIDE 8411"

Also, I thought this record was supposed to have a printed inner sleeve. This one just has a white rough paper sleeve.

I bought this under the impression this was the Factory UK release of this album. Should I send it back? Is this a legit dual-label release?

Weren't the Factory-Benelux releases from Belgium:scratch:

Not totally sure what the deal is with the Benelux stuff

I just realized that nowhere on the sleeve does it say "Fact 90." It should at least say so on the spine or the front of the sleeve, no?

I'm sending it back.

I think so.

I've got an Italian pressing myself and on the front is pressed 'FACT 90', as well as on the side of the sleeve. However my copy doesn't have a proper innersleeve either. I cannot even find the production details on the sleeve or label... :brow:

I'm sending it back.

Perhaps you got a genuine release, but with less details, just a "cheaper foreign (outside UK) release". I suggest: keep it! :thumb:

Yeah, but I didn't pay "cheaper" for it. :\

I emailed the guy who sold it to me. We're in negotiations right now.

hi, this is the official Factory Benelux pressing (groove matrix should read FBN 33, Crepuscule allocated it to their Another Side label), of course from the original master tapes. This came without the printed inner (which was plain orange). I remember having the Factory Benelux pressing of The Wake's "Here Comes Everybody" which sounded way better than the UK one (high quality DMM pressing through EMI Holland). Auctioned it on eBay, sadly went for only GBP 1.04. A learning lession on start prices.

Interesting. Didn't notice it before, but the matrix markings are as you describe. Thanks for clearing that up.
