Hmm, is there a comprehensive list anywhere of famous New Order fans.

I heard that Neil Tennant is a New Order fan. Or perhaps the Pet Shop Boys as a whole.

I can personally vouch for Sean Hayes, the actor who played the flamboyantly-gay character Jack on American television's "Will and Grace", being a big New Order fan.

He spent the entire May '05 Aragon Ballroom, Chicago gig standing next to my wife with his buddies dancing and singing along to the whole gig ;)

I also went to high school with him, but that's for another time...

Given his contribution to NewOrderStory I think that can be safely assumed, along with Bono *spit*, Pete Tong, Quincy Jones, Keith Allen (Lily Allen's dad and Fulham fan who presents part of it and directed the video to Ruined in a day, IIRC) and of course the late John Peel without whom we'd all be talking about something else entirely.

I've got an old Annual of PSB,entitled "Annually", in which the Boys cite their favourite top 10 songs at the time.One being IT'S ALRIGHT by Sterling Void,which they went on to record,and TRUE FAITH which they called the ultimate pop song.

I seem to remember it was in 'Glue'. One of the characters, a DJ, is thinking of the band he played bass in when he was young. He says he was never very good "never a Peter Hook/Hooky, never a (....)". I think the second name might have been Manni, not sure. It's a while since I read it.

Isn't New Order also mentioned in Trainspotting (the book, I mean)? When I was still living in Amsterdam, one of our friends picked Irvine Welsh up from the street when he collapsed in front of the bar our friend worked. Apperently he was a really nice guy after a few strong coffee's.
