Pat Fish aka The Jazz Butcher is apparently a fan... read a while ago on his website that while he was out on tour the band was incredibly excited to have a copy of WAITING FOR THE SIRENS song blasting as they made their road trip...

I also have a feeling director Jonathan Demme must be a big fan as he not only directed the Perfect Kiss video but also used "Temptation" in SOMETHING WILD and "Bizarre Love Triangle" in MARRIED TO THE MOB

I seem to remember it was in 'Glue'. One of the characters, a DJ, is thinking of the band he played bass in when he was young. He says he was never very good "never a Peter Hook/Hooky, never a (....)". I think the second name might have been Manni, not sure. It's a while since I read it.

Isn't New Order also mentioned in Trainspotting (the book, I mean)? When I was still living in Amsterdam, one of our friends picked Irvine Welsh up from the street when he collapsed in front of the bar our friend worked. Apperently he was a really nice guy after a few strong coffee's.
