Off the top of me head - Sooner Than You Think, Blue Monday, Age of Consent, Temptation, In A Lonely Place.
Not sure of the exact order, mind.
Simultaneous broadcast on BBC2 and Radio 1.
Twas Saturday 25th August 1984 - I was just arriving in Portsmouth for the next night's gig, and only heard it on the car radio. Jarvo's got the tracks right.
That 84 tour was possibly the best UK one I can remember - a real mix of Movement songs, PCL songs and a whole host of half-written new ones. Face Up was a delight, listening to the random lyrics every other show.
THANKS...IF I REMEMBER RIGHTLY BERNARDS BAD MOOD WAS CAUSED BY BEING STUCK IN TRAFFIC AND ARRIVNG LATE AT THE STUDIOS..I LOST MY TAPE OF IT I THINK THE MISSUS TAPED OVER IT WITH CORO OR SOMETHING!!!84 WAS GOOD WHICH GIGS DID YOU MANAGE TO ATTEND??

All of them !! That was my summer holiday, dossing round off-the-beaten-track venues where no other band would play.....Margate night was spent kipping on the seafront behind the venue. Went home after Gloucester and Chippenham as it wasn't far. Some great nights, those :)
Ive got it on video, very entertaining, 'specially when Bernard loses his temper with the microphone and rips the cover off it...(then spits his dummy out!!)...also memorable for Hooky's vest... and if i remember rightly, Bernard's singing being incredibly bad in Temptation...
given me a thought now, must dig the tape out and watch it...

Aye - The Barnster was in a particularly fucked off mood that day
Singing out of tune here, there and everywhere, but he did show his sense of humour while singing the line "And I still find it so hard - to stay in tune with you"
Personally the version of Temptation that they played is my favourite of all time, and the version of Sooner than you think is also top class;)

Opening day of the 84/85 season. Like yourself Tim, heard it on car radio but only recently got hold of a video of the TV broadcast. It's contained within Mike Garrity's TV clips video. Paul - see the Buy/Sell section to get this.
Was on the way back from Notts County/Leeds (2-1 away win). Miners strike was high on everyone's radar at the time & a ground full of Yorks/Notts fans brought plenty of political overtones to the atmos. 'You're Scabs & you know you are' was one refrain that echoed round the County Ground. Game culminated with 1500 Leeds scaling the perimeter fence, charging across the pitch towards the County end & being fought off by OB on horse back.
'Your Country is a wonderful place/it pales my England into disgrace'.........seemed to capture it all at the time.

Yeah, I read a piece that said that they only arrived at the studio half an hour or so before going on air, and that one of the synths had packed up so they couldn't play what they had planned.
