Gillian Gilbert@Manc Cornerhouse

Dunno if this one's come up before, but Gillian will be appearing in person at a seminar at Manchester Cornerhouse this Tuesday (9th April) at 6.00pm for a "seminar" on women in the Manc music scene. The panel will be hosted by Dave Haslam, and will also feature Tony Wilson's first wife and someone else who used to co-manage the Hacienda. A screening of "24 Hour Party People" will follow. I'm thinking about driving up from Stoke for this one - anyone else going?? Gives us a bona fide reason to ask her if she's still in the Order or not, at least....

...and on the subject of aformentioned movie - I loved the bit where "Hooky" struggles to play "She's Lost Control" and Hannett quips that although he holds his bass very well, he really ought to learn to play the fucking thing first!!

Martin Me and Kezzie are going. Tickets are £6 and it says in City Life that it starts at 6.25. Should be interesting....email me if you are going, perhaps we can all have a pint afterwards. (That goes for anyone else from here going too...)

Is there room for another Martin to join the gang? I might be interested in popping along too - I'f I'm not rehearsing with the band that is, which, as far as I know, I won't be on Tuesday. :) :) :)

You may have got my emails earlier, so just to reiterate, I will be able to make it to the film showing at 6.20, but unfortunatley I missed out on getting the limited tickets for the seminar afterwards. Hope I can catch the both of you sometime round 5.30 if you want to arrive earlier, to spend some time chattin in the cafe upstairs or wherever suits best!! :)
